Not sure I see a connection there between him and Memphis. I really don't know if they could do better than that, but that looks like an extremely underwhelming hire to me. 3-21 in the last 2 years doesn't make for a very attractive HC job.

I think the Pastner hire for basketball proved there is more making that university unappealing than the health of the athletic program. It is a dying city in my opinion. But I was surprised the OC from Alabama even considered the job. At least according to Memphis media they turned the Alabama OC down.
