Marquette's biggest guys are 6'9". Will be a good test for MSU. Expect Tolu being double teamed. DJ is going to have to step up.

Tolu is going to be double teamed all season long and we don’t really have a slasher that can get to the basket.

So far a defensive slugout. Dogs hit a couple 3's....Marquette hit one to open the game. Thing that stands out to me so far from last year's team is our defense. We're playing some zone, when we hardly ever did last year. Surprised that Marquette fans outnumber us by about 10-1. Where are all the south Florida dog fans?

If I’m a unbiased fan just flipping channels I’m thinking damn these two teams are awful offensively but the D is pretty good.
If we could shoot we would be up 15 right now

Fans don’t even come to the home games. Why would you expect them to show up in Florida?

Watching the games so far we are not a great offensive team. What we are really good at is rebounding and playing defense. The effort is outstanding. If you play defense with effort and rebound with effort good things will happen. Richard Williams has to love calling the games this year. This is his kind of team.

It’s amazing how quickly Jans has this team with an established identity (gritty defense). Howland teams never had an identity the whole time he was here. I’m really liking what I see from Jan’s so far.

I'm not feeling good about this one if we don't find some rhythm on offense.

Marquette is figuring us out and we look lost on O.

As I type we are 7 of 26 on two pt attempts. That's ridiculous.

Well....some things never change. Instead of the Shaq rule, it's the Tolu rule. He will be a severe liability late in close games when we need a free throw.
