I haven't been one to ***** about the gameday environment. I think what our athletic and marketing departments have done to improve the atmosphere for fans is amazing.

But. When we're at a pivotal point in the game, and the stadium is tense and quiet . . . and then . . . OH LAWRD WONT YOU BUY MUHEEE UH MARSAYDEEES BINNZZZ.

God, I wish they would change that commercial.

That was horrible. I don't mind a Mercedes commercial, but Jesus that was miserable. "Oh it's Mississippi so let's just make the most redneck Mercedes commercial ever and they'll love it." Turrible. And like you said, the timing of it didn't make it any better.

I know. I didn't think they chose the timing. I just wish they would do a normal Mercedes commercial instead of that slow, redneck, country crap song.

It's awful any time they play it I guess is what I'm saying.

I'm sure you are aware Miss St does not produce the commercial...the advertiser does. MSU just takes the money and puts it on the big TV.

The target audience for that commercial knows who it is and realizes it isnt a country/redneck song.

Thank you! Just because it's Janis Joplin doesn't make it any better in this context. I like Janis Joplin. I also love Bob Dylan and The Beatles. I just don't think it should be played during a football game. You HAVE to admit that the song sucks the energy out of the stadium.

If we beat Bama, I am all for them playing Dylan's 'The times they are a'changin' though.
