The Ole Miss recruiting propaganda to kick into super idiot mode. They are going to throw everything they can think of out there about coaches leaving, recruits flipping and the like in the hopes we go nuclear on our own people. DO NOT get sucked in by these ********. DO NOT be our own worst enemy. We did a better job of controlling our own stupidity last year and it got us a great recruiting class. We have an even better class lined up for this year and we need to do an even better job of controlling our own emotions and stupidity.

It's 43 days to signing day. Surely we can hold it together for this time. Do not fall into the Rebel trap of turning on our own recruits.

Do you really think that message boards influence a recruit?

Ask CJ Johnson...

It's certainly naive to think an 18 yr old kid wouldn't check to see what's being said ab him on various teams' message boards. In 10 minutes/day with well-placed searches, they can keep up with everything being said about them nationally.

I only ask because someone asked Neal McCready about it recently in a podcast and he said that he has never had a recruit mention message boards. Twitter and Facebook, yes. But not message boards.

Mccready IS the foremost authority on recruiting. Parents, recruits, and coaches read and use message boards.

Considering the actions of Brad Logan earlier this month, it's a reasonable assumption.

Message boards have influenced recruits before.

Message boards influence public opinion and public opinion influences Facebook and twitter posts from large numbers of people, which then spreads to more people. I dare say the average SPS post is read far more than the average SPS'ers individual Facebook posts.

Many of you don't understand public opinion or what influences it. Saying message boards don't matter is like saying crowds of people don't spread communicable diseases.

Not much, but how about jobs at Winchester

And UMC for parents? That might work. Merry Xmas

Great point!

Yes, I'm addition to using false religion, and females, and cars, and cash, and giving their parents jobs, and adopting them, Ole Miss is so evil that they've instituted a plan to get MSU fans to talk **** to recruits on message boards. If we all just stay strong perhaps we can resist the urge to talk **** about recruits who decide not to go to MSU.

This whole thread is retarded

If recruits read message boards as you say, then they're reading about you telling everyone to "stay strong" and "DO NOT give in." Which makes you sound half retarded

Ha, JJ was all like "hey let's don't let the Bearz

get us riled up" and then in his very next post he was all like "hey F you Bearz!" You're setting a poor example for how to make a good impression on recruits JJ.

great thread...and has pretty much lived up to the OP's original post.

State posters trying to keep others in check and stay levelheaded- The Ole Miss Rebel posters saying message board posts dont matter and trying to stir **** up.

One good way to stir **** up

is to call an opposing fanbase's African American students Uncle Toms from the safety of a pseudonym, but I'm sure you know several equally effective tactics.

So what keeps some OM guy from pretending to be a dawg on here and posting bad things about recruits. The coaches can show that to recruits just the same.

No im all like go **** yourselves bearzzzz. i never said we shouldn't all like blast your stupid asses. I said we need to all like stay sane towards our own people. Moron.

This is the typical Rebel dive in on our thread things that they do. You can bet they will keep stirring **** up around the UA game and thru the next month and half on here. The rebels can't stay off our board.

I said do not get sucked in, do not be our own worst enemy. I never said don't call the rebel dipshits out when they dive on our board. Looks like this thread is more about defending our own like we need to do...

CJ said he switched because Diaz and Hud (I think, some coach) left

And those were who he really kept in contact with. At least that's what he said on film.

Message boards are powerful and do influence people. Coach34 played a critical part in the firing of Stansbury. Why would anyone think they do not influence recruits and their parents. Oh, I did not mean to give Coach34 all the credit, other posters deserve credit too. Just not as much as Coach34. His critical role will be his legacy in MSU sports history.

Is it so bad, that you have to get on a message board...

and warn the natives of the "OM propaganda machine"?

I don't think so. Pretty embarrassing.
