He doesn’t help the situation at all running his mouth online. I know he’s probably frustrated, but they are getting lifetime money so fans have a right to be upset. He better learn to deal with it in the pros, what’s he gonna do fight every fanbase across the US who talks smack about him when he plays?

I’ve been saying this all along but no one wants to listen. Kid is nothin like SS was, he’s a kid he bleeds basketball. He isn’t healthy though and that’s a shame because we never truly got to see what he is capable of. People project their negativity and past experiences on to an 28 year old kid with zero facts and it quite frankly sad.
Damn he’s really 28? No wonder he looks so old.

Any chance at all he returns? Or is that just wishful thinking?

Nobody here cares to hear his opinion at all. Not just on playing time and usage. But basically on anything. What is his vocation? Does he have one? Or is it his son? His son is sinking like a stone in the draft mostly due to the dad and other handlers. And dad is in panic mode.
Well he wasn't posting here, he was responding to someone on X. All that other stuff who cares he was taking up for his kid. Read his post. Look at all those anonymous UK posters comments. It would make ya proud lol.

And some of you genuinely think Pope is the only reason top HS kids are turning down our money and it has nothing to do with the toxic side of our fanbase. Think what you want
Yeah we have had 100 NBA players play here, numerous AA both in high school and college and yet they are scared of the fan base? Get real. There are infinitely more positives about playing here than some people speculating online. If you think that has any reason for why kids won’t come under pope idk what to tell you. He can’t recruit, just like Tubby didn’t want to recruit. It has zero to do with anything but the JMI contact and that.

The best thing he could do for his son. Is not get on twitter at all. If someone comes up to him in public mouthing off. Sure. Let them have it. He is hurting his son’s future. NBA teams monitor this stuff. Unless the kids a can’t miss, they’re gonna pass on them with a parent like this.

Kid is nothing like Sharpe. 18 year old kid that has some swelling in a knee that could give him generational wealth if it heals correctly. I wouldn't rush it either.
He’s getting lifetime wealth sitting on the bench over there. People are rightly upset. We work our asses off all our lives to have 1% of what he earned in a year not playing. We are the ones who foot the large ticket prices so they can get paid, we donate, buy gear, autographs, etc.. it comes with the territory of being a big time player. I guarantee 100% of the fanbase wants him out there kicking *** for us. His dad made this entire situation worse with his original comments. If he had not made those everyone would probably accept he’s just hurt.

I’m a known pumper and take up for our players and staff regardless. But this is a bad look for JQ and his dad. Your kid is now a paid professional and a man, expect criticism. The first thing he wants to do is fight people??? Seems like a very low IQ individual, JQ must have got his intelligence from his momma.

I never thought JQ was sitting out for fun, but if his dad is engaging with fans on this level then JQ probably should never have come to Kentucky. His family isnt ready for the microscope. I’m not bragging. It is what it is.

Would love more than anything for JQ to hit in here about SEC tournament time and share minutes with Moreno. A healthy JQ could be a game changer for the tournaments. I’m sure BBN would be tickled pink to get him back. Yea, some fans are pretty critical, but it’s for the love of the program. All ills can be cured quickly.

Seems like JQs dad has some self control issues. Getting so mad that people on the internet are coming up with theories of why his son isn’t playing? Come on now, stay off the internet if you can’t handle the heat. Ignorance at its finest.
Are you a parent? I'm doubting it

That’s the thing. Tell the BBN the truth and remove doubt. If you plan or want to come back say it. If you don’t just man up and say it.
How do you know they haven't been telling the truth, smh

It’s pretty obvious JQ and his dad should be at a school where the fans do nothing but worship them and kiss their ***. Neither of them want to be questioned, and dad wants to dictate how his son is utilized.
I think the kid is just a pawn who unfortunately has other people in his ear that he listens to. I’d imagine he just wants to play ball. I’m watching the Chinyelu kid for Florida. That’s what Quaintance could and should be. Imagine how much better we would be?

Old saying:

Children are to be seen, not hard.

New saying:

In sports, parents are to be seen, not heard,

Watch your child play. Celebrate success. STFU about it no matter what.
Right? His kid got a boat load of money to rehab and play a few minutes. He needs to keep his mouth shut and his fingers off the keyboard.

I think Chris Chaney has issues sending that to JQ's dad and saying more of the fans agree with him. That is pretty darn pathetic, to be honest.

Do you live in a closet? Have you ever ventured outside of Kentucky? Have you ever seen these other fanbases. Some of you are morons. Kentucky doesn’t come CLOSE to the vile that comes from programs like Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Texas etc. not even close. Nobody in basketball supports the player the way Kentucky does. It’s for life, the rest don’t even know who you are day to day. Tennessee has sprayed the rock on campus with racist remarks about their own players. Auburn will ABUSE their guys during games and have thrown things at their own team walking off. Alabama has fans that will rip their players to shreds. Go visit X sometime and watch some of these fanbases. Kentucky doesn’t even come close to what these fanbases put out.

His dad is an idiot. Grown man on X talking to regular people with a son who’s famous and headed pro. What kind of immature moron can’t think through that? The type who can barely form sentences.

His father went off on the staff and around that time he was sat. And he was playing horrible when it happened. Sorry, don’t believe a word of that BS coming from his dad. Could be true sure, I don’t buy it for a second the way it went down. So what he can do is show respect to his son and to what they’ve been given here and do what smart people in his position do, ignore noise and focus on your own sht. His dad needs to kick rocks right up outa here. Nobody with a brain buys a word of that just because he figured out how to make a comment online.
