I'm expecting about a half-inch of rain. Image below is for 6 Saturday night.

..late 1980's Egg Bowl in Jackson began innocent enough. Cloudy and warm. Great day for football.

About 5 minutes into the game, a rain storm that would rival Hurricane Irene hit.

I got the hell out of there (reached my car as wet as if I have dove into a swimming pool).

Of course, the Rebels won.

Veterans' Memorial in Wet Willie's fashion. Looked like a water slide coming down there. Another craptastic egg bowel.

I was in the Maroon Band that year...and as a woodwind we couldn't play our instruments in the rain so as the brass
and drummers played we did a rain dance...(Doc Sills had disappeared to chat with OM's director)..

due to the weather.

I also recall a guy named Stevon Moore kicking our ***.
Reminds me of Nickoe Whitley. Would knock your dick in the dirt.

Those of us who were there will never forget it.

It was a miserable, bone-chilling rain. There were students and fans holding up posters saying "Goodbye Rockey" and "1-10 - I Believe!" If we were lucky, we went three-and-out without a fumble. And the rain kept falling. I sat there in the freezing rain with my fingers frozen to my trumpet wondering why the hell I was there.

It was the low point of my entire Bulldog life.

This Saturday, I only hope there are some rebs left in the stadium to ponder what it feels like to lose your tenth game while sitting in a cold, miserable downpour. It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

Felker went 1-10 and we kept him around for two more years. Anyone else think that would happen if Dan went 1-11?

There is still a bit of disagreement between the models on speed, but it definitely looks like it's going to be a pretty miserable. There is also still the possibility for severe weather, but that scenario currently doesn't lookverylikely.Could end up getting more rain if the low pressure slows downmore, but for right now, expect rain and a game start temp somewhere between 55 and 60, falling to around 50 by the end of the game.
