Huge match. Maybe the biggest so far. The loser of this would be in serious trouble. I believe Mexico would still control their own destiny with Uruguay in their final match but France with a loss would need a win and help. A draw would make things very interesting on the 3rd group matchday.

The world's biggest pussies fail aGAIN. Also, first time Mexico has ever beat France. Assuming they don't blow it in the last 3 min.

So a Mexico/Uruguay draw puts them both at 5 points and out of reach of France (and South Africa). I wonder if Mexico will go for the win, though, since a draw gets them 2nd and a date with Argentina instead of South Korea or Nigeria if they won.

if you want some free entertainment this evening, just make sure you dine out and run into the kitchen and start a free celebration with the kitchen by exclaiming one of the goal scorer's names. They will be the happiest people on earth and will treat you like a brother.

It'd be very hard for France to catch either of them anyway. They could match the loser of Mexico/Uruguay at 4 points, but they'd have to make up a 5-goal goal differental to move into 2nd in the group (6 goals if Uruguay were to lose). France is -2, to Mexico's +2 and Uruguay's +3. To make it worse for the French, they haven't scored in two games.

They'd have a mountain to climb for sure. I just wonder how much Mexico will risk to get to the top of the group. Maybe losing 2nd isn't a big risk but still there are yellow cards and potential injuries. Seems worth it to avoid Argentina.

Meanwhile, the winner of Group C is now looking at probably Ghana in the 2nd round and one of Korea, Nigeria, Uruguay, and Mexico. Ifwe can win our group it would probably be US vs Ghana and Uruguay vs Korea. One of those 4 would be into the semis. I think I have that right.
