So surprising. Tough pill to swallow for those projecting good things from him. Hope he gets whatever straight in his life, but it's probably just as well we moved on at this point.
Would have been nice having an older guy in the locker room, but hopefully someone else takes advantage of the opportunity his absence gives them. He's not going to be the difference in W's and L's if anyone wants to look at it that way.

He didn't exactly have a large body of work to prove himself. He hasn't been on the team in a couple years. "overhyped" might be too strong of a word.
He was not hugely hyped out of high school, but started getting a lot of message board love after the first Gator Bowl. Considering he hasn't been able to stay on the team and his coming back got as much pub as it did, I think overhyped is accurate.
I wouldn't call him overhyped. He has alot of talent, but he just doesn't have it upstairs to be a D1 athlete. Plain and simple. He didn't have it the first time he was here, and he doesn't have it now. I said this spring if he caught one ball this fall, I would be suprised. That's why.
I don't think our staff was expecting much out of him this year.
Carr has some issues that are not general public discussions. Nothing criminal or illegal, but just not for public discourse. He was incredibly gifted, not over hyped, but couldn't adapt to the college scene. No need to downgrade him. Hope he can get his life together.
He wasnt hugely hyped but he may have been the best player in the state. His issues are mental. Not mental that he cant get it or isnt smart. He has "issues".

Jesus Christ, man. How ******* hard is it to make up your damn mind? I wish him all the best and I hope that he can become a functional human being that contributes something meaningful to society, but I can't wrap my mind around his thought process in this whole mess. Is it three times he's quit now? Why come back the second time? Or the third? He's got problems? Great, so does everyone else. Take some pills, see a shrink, do what ya gotta do. I've seen house cats more decisive.

Don't expect much from Hammond...he touched the ball 20 or so times this year. Receiving, rushing, returning, and all. I don't care if the coach was an idiot...that is hard to believe. Hr will take some time...
