Does anyone else think that MV should not be the starter this Sunday? I may be the only one but this guy is proof to all the inner city kids that you can majorly <17>up and still come back and start in the NFL. This guy not only murdered animals, he forced them into fighting for entertainment. We cannot even do that with humans. <div>

Just know that they all wear gloves/cups, and most of them fight to to have a better record and make the big dollars, it's all about tactics now. If I'm paying $45 for a ppv I want to see 2 men FIGHT! Throw caution in the wind and swing until someone gets knocked out or can no longer fight due to blood in the eyes or broken knuckles. Submissions are great but come on...not every time.</div><div>

He lost probably $100M because of his crimes. He'll probably be broke when he exits the NFL. Our judicial system says he's paid his debt to society. Let him earn a living from here on the best he can.

Doesn't mean you gotta go buy your 10 yr old a Vick jersey, but the man's got a right to earn a living and if the NFL is willing to employ him then so be it.

It's not like he's formulating public policy that's effecting mine or your lives.

and love my parents rat terrier, and while Mike Vick was wrong and what he did was disgusting, I also believe in forgiveness. He paid he debt to society, he has made no excuses for his behavior that I am aware of, and yes, I do believe that he regrets his decisions. If nothing else, this has cost him millions just by not playing in the NFL for a little while.

I think Vick should start if he is the best, regardless of what he has done in the past. What's to stop the Eagles from putting the back-up in for the first play of the game, hand it off, and then let Vick play the rest of the game? I think Micheal Vick is one of the most talented players in the NFL. I was saddened to hear of his bad news because I enjoy watching him play so much.

How can he prove that he has learned a lesson if he is not given the opportunity to start and play? He knows that if he screws up again, he is done.

Playing football has nothing to do with him proving that he's learned a lesson. And no doubt they would just hand it off once then turn it over to Vick, but he wouldn't get the starts under his belt. Idk. I'm just frustrated with our Justice/Penal System, I don't understand how money immediately makes a problem, more or less go away.<div>How about buying a dog for companionship, that might show he's changed but I doubt they'll let this guy within 100ft. of any animal shelter/hospital/etc. How about adopting 100s of dogs and letting them live on his land and letting Handicapped children come spend time with them? That's a good way. He needs to use dogs in a positive was instead of using them as...well, usually it's to make money but he was - and probably still is, don't let the missed yr. or two fool you - a millionaire. He's not living in low income housing, by any means. He's still got a nice house and all that stuff, unless he blew it all the way a lot of them do nowadays, then he may be scruggling. I don't care what he did in his past. And I really don't see why people still have a problem with him.

he is out of jail. he hasn't been caught fighting more dogs. the system worked. what is your problem? he wasn't betting on football. he wasn't killing fellow teammates. he wasn't murdering and raping his fans. he didn't steal anything from the players. it's over. he has moved on, the league has moved on, and you have not. what would you rather him do, sit back in the ghetto where he came from and start slinging rock?

are you next going to start complaining that actors can't get the lead role in a film if they go to prison for doing drugs or breaking other highly enforced laws?

I honestly think its ridiculous the amount of jail time he got. I think it is absurd to think that Michael Vick killed dogs and got two years, Plaxico Burress shot HIMSELF and got two years, and Donte Stallworth killed another man while drunk and high and got 24 days. Look I love dogs as much as anyone, but at the end of the day, they are dogs. They are animals. They are the exact same thing as the deer and doves that southerners love to kill everyday. While I think it is grotesque and extremely repulsive what he did, I honestly don't find any judicial fault with the guy. Heck, he even paid for the dogs. They are his property. Its terrible but its absurd that he had to go to jail for two years.

So yes he absolutely should start (especially since I just got him off the waiver wire). Get off the guys case.

Furthermore - its not Vick's fault at all the little miscreants of America can't understand that he's lost tens of millions of dollars over this fiasco. Its not his fault that they can't understand that he's paid for his crime and is now free to live and prosper the best he can.

I am addicted to meat, if I eat and do not have meat I get a stomach ache/still hungry. Meat is a necessity. And I do not have a PETA membership, and although I do support them to a certain degree, I think they are grossly overzealous on most instances.<div>

Although it was a stupid concept/post/idea. There is no need to be rude. I mean OM lost to Jacksonville St. But I'm not sending postcards to Oxford residents. Just seeing what some people thought about the idea and boy, I will not make the the mistake of inquiry again.

Oh also, an animal is just that. An animal. Just because you think they're cute and cuddly, doesn't mean they have innocence. Your dog would tear the wings off of a bird to watch it hop and bleed. The second the bird died, the dog would get bored and put his face in his crotch for the next 30 minutes. If a human child did that, you'd be ready to fry the little bastard.

Just because you want to think that your dog has dreams and ambitions, doesn't mean he does. He wants to be fed, breed if you haven't cut off his balls, mark his territory, sleep, and lick his crotch. That's it.

Most of the time they are pretty dumb. But if you read books, you'll know that humans are also animals, so I don't get the statement that they are just animals. We are very smart. Dogs are not but they have dreams while they sleep and they have ambitions to chase cars, balls, sticks or just about whatever you throw. <div>

Vick screwed up and paid his debt; that is the way our system works. He should have every opportunity to be successful from here on out and I hope he is. The fastest QB to ever play the game, hands down. For the record, I doubt he stays out of trouble.</p>
