I was lucky to be invited to their luncheon on Saturday. My daughter did her undergrad at RU and Masters at Michigan. Her friend from grad schools dad played on the 1969 National Championship team. He is now the president of this organization. Jim Betts explained to me what they do. First if any former player who has graduated has lost his health insurance due to a catastrophic illness, or cannot afford health insurance they will pay for it. Secondly if for any reason a former player is not working, they will retrain them and place them in a suitable position. This luncheon took place in the Chrysler building which is their basketball arena. It was attended by at least 100 former players. Even though I was the only one wearing RU apparel I was treated with respect. I was wondering if anything exists at RU like this
