Not really surprising. He had already been suspended for the spying controversy. The guy is dirty. And not that good a coach. They bought the #1 quarterback in the country and their offense was still dog crap this year.
I’m pulling for them to hire Lane. I just think it would be funny.

This development came on the heels of an earlier reprimand for visiting campus-area bars and drinking into the early hours in Tuscaloosa.

No, 99% of the fan base wanted him gone, he was awful. Michigan could never contend for anything with him there. he backed into the job. Maybe you could say if he was a great coach, they would have tried to cover it up.
If not DEBOER I don’t know who they could pull. That’s a top job But it’s hard to imagine who is available right now.
Maybe there is a Tressel out there or they will snag an NFL coach.
