Watching this game and the ND - Temple game makes me realize how bad we are right now. We have players. We need a real coach.

I haven't watched too much of this game but Minnesota looks to be playing inspired. They're doing a nice job on Michigan's defense judging by that last graphic.

Who'd they replace Rudock with. He was never that great to me, mostly a game manager but he was starting so I'm guessing the 2nd stringer isn't as good.

So you are assuming Harbaugh does not make the same mistake as Flood then

I don't know who their back up or what his name is but he must be stoked. He is going to have his career day next week.

As long as Michigan has guys capable of literately holding a football and moving forward they are a 20+ point favorite next week.

This game was a "no-no" in gambling-land today. You KNEW The Gophers, at home, in the oldest "trophy" game in the nation, would come out and play great tonight. Unfortunately not what we need because Michigan's D, at home next week, won't give up a point to us (unless it's a broken play/trick play/ type of score) now, IMHO.

lol all good man! I'm like "wait...I've had half a beer all day...am I missing something here"??
I've been on the Fire Flood fan club all day. I just think Austin is going to be real good. My comment was just about him. Sorry if it was misconstrued.

Our players are okay but nowhere near the Big Ten elite, with 1 or 2 exceptions... Coaching sucks too, but it's not the only reason we are losing

Yea I'm sure the trophy was part of it but I'm thinking if winning it for Kill now that he just retired hasn't given them a little added boost.

LOL the part about "Kill" was accidentally left out of my post. I've been up too long, and am too sober, to be posting right now!

The backup looks damn good...He just drove them down the field for a TD and 2 point conversion.

Wow what a stop by Michigan at the goal line. I was kinda surprised that Minnesota didn't go for the FG to tie but I wouldn't put up too much fight on the call though.

Horrendous play calling and awareness by Minn on the last few plays. That's the difference between good and bad coaches.

Guys need hit down...no doubt...but then Minny has enough time for 3 pass plays, then a FG to tie the game and go OT, and instead only gets ONE play off, no dice, then with 3-seconds to go decides to go for a QB sneak against THE BEST D in the nation instead of taking the FG, at home, to go to OT??!!!! WTF???!!!!

Jerry Kill is going to KILL his former assistant coach LOL!

Wow, talk about your bad clock management by the Gophers there. They had it on the doorstep with 19 seconds to go and let the clock just run while doing a bunch of shifting before the snap. Instead of getting 3 or 4 plays off, they only got two. Michigan survived.

You do realize that it's an interim HC, right, not the guy who just had to retire?

I found myself celebrating while watching the temple game. i did not celebrate at all during the RU game today. maybe it's the extra booze, maybe it's my hatred of ND, but all I know is that I didn't go to temple and i did go to RU.

today RU football made me sad. this is not an infrequent thing.

Missed all that just got the last play and was surprised they didn't try to tie but I'm not going to argue going for it too much.

Was watching the crazy end of the Miami/Duke game.
