Classic sequence just now. Izzo bitches about a fairly obvious foul call on one of his big men. Next possession, the officials don't wait 10 seconds to give him a horse crap makeup call. Next thing you know, Huskers down by 8.

He needs to adopt the Izzo tactic of bitching and moaning non-stop right from the opening tip. And since the refs can't give Izzo 30 Ts per game, they just don't give him any.

Well...it's 7-1 fouls in the second in favor of NU

Of course there is no replay here (Big10) but was that over and back? Didn't look like it to me, but alot of people are convinced it was.

Huskers looked overmatched tonight, but this game does make me anxious to see Tschimanga and Morrow on the floor at the same time.

Jordy is getting invaluable experience right now and growing game by game.

Rough shooting night for the Huskers and pretty sharp shooting by Sparty.

Cue the fire Miles gang.

Morrow out, Watson hobbled. Jordy hobbled. MSU needing a win. Pick em game....my betting account is happier tonight. This wasn't stacking up to be a win for the Skers tonight.

Missed the game, but I see MSU shot 64.7% from 3pt and 55.8% overall while the Huskers shot 25% from 3pt and 38.5% overall. OUCH!!

How can you win when the other team shoots that well? Maybe get in their face? Didn't see the game so I don't know.

ESPN has one highlight of an MSU reverse layout and the announcers aren't even paying attention at all. Wow. Sounded like an ESPN announcer.

Might as well start playing home games in Omaha if we continue to shoot like this at home... :(

Did Watson and Jordy get injured in the game or injured previously?

How was Webster's ankle tonight?
Jordy has had to wear a boot the past few weeks. Watson has a groin injury I was told. This afternoon I was told he was 50/50 tonight so I loaded up on MSU. MSU needed this win bad for their at large chances.

Rece Davis babbles about everything but the game. If you put him and Bill Walton on the same broadcast, they wouldn't even need to show up at the arena - just phone it in from home.

When you have a team that shoots 64.7% from the three line, of which three were as the shot clock was expiring and a couple more after long rebound bounces, makes it tough to win. Add in the fact that Jake couldn't hit the side of the barn gave them plenty of chances. If Jake was not rebounding and playing good D, I would have ripped him out of the game. I know Horne took a couple of questionable shots but when he was open, they NEVER got him the rock. Jordy was open a ton and they never got him the ball when he was. They kept looking at him but never gave it to him. Hopefully, they can just give to him when he is making a move. This way he can avoid the offensive fouls. Done bitching. Future looks bright if these guys could deliver the rock earlier and trust in their shots.

I love him doing the pre-game football and basketball shows, but he is a horrible basketball announcer. Just horrible.

Michigan State just looked like they were in a higher gear. Very frenetic. Nebraska looked slow and lost on offense.

NU has allowed conference opponents to shoot 45% from the 3 point line so far.
Yikes

Believe it or not, I'm actually coming over to your side. Even after losing by double-digits. He may not be the best in-game coach, but after looking at our roster again, the man can recruit, and with his lack of an offensive identity that shows up from time to time, we need all the talent we can get. I'm in on giving him at least one more year.

3 Point FG PCT Defense(in conference) since Molinari was hired.

14/15- #12- .361
15/16- #13- .392
16/17- #13- .454

Before Molinari

12/13- #5- .320
13/14- #5- .330

Luck? Scheme? Personnel? After three years if being near the bottom of the league I'm going to toss luck out the window. Unfortunately, it appears teams can pick and pop us to death and we have not had an answer for it.

He has recruited well, but I think most of that is due to Kenya Hunter, and to a lesser degree the new facilities. If Kenya moves on after this year, I think our recruiting will majorly suffer.

I think our offense will struggle without Webster next year, unless Roby can really improve this off-season. Miles seems to like the NBA offensive strategy of just running ball screens and Iso's, which can work if you have great scorers and outside shooting threats....but a team like ours could really benefit from a bit more creativity on offense. Webster just going 1-on-1 has been our best offense this year, and when other teams shut that down, we don't seem to have an answer.

I'm actually intrigued that a loss by double digits actually garners less attention than a final second loss by one. I'd think the negative folks would have more ammo when a team gets beaten pretty badly, but I guess it goes to show you emotions are higher in close games.

I've made my points. Unless called out, I don't need to get on every basketball thread and rehash them.

My opinion didn't change

That's why Creighton kills us every year. It's plain to see..... well, apparently not that plain

And everyone thought the offense would struggle when Shields and White left. Guys develop in college basketball. It has happened for years. Hell, I have seen vast improvement from Jordy in the last week.

Are you under the impression our offense hasn't struggled? Our effective FG% is ranked #309 in the country according to T-Rank. Out of the power 5 schools + the Big East there are only three teams worse. Stanford, Missouri, Rutgers.
