We’re a little over one month out from Election Day, and Democrats’ continue to dominate in the polls. Their lead in our likely voter adjusted generic congressional ballot average is up to D +9.2. And their candidates have at least slight polling leads in the six likeliest Senate tipping-point states: Texas (D +3.4), Maine (D +2.5), Ohio (D +4.5), Iowa (D +2.0), Michigan (D +3.2), and Alaska (D +2.4).

Of course, polling error is always possible, and it wouldn’t take much of it for Democrats to loose the Senate. But due to a combine of good Democratic candidates, an unpopular president, and inflation (especially when it comes to gas and diesel prices), Republicans are in an increasingly difficult position. -NS & EMD, 9/28/26

Thanks for proving my point in your first sentence. I’d love to understand how you’d break down the drivers of inflation, how Biden’s decisions were more inflationary than Trump’s (PPP, stimulus checks, etc), etc.

If the dems take control of the house or senate then all that will occur for two years is a mindless witch hunt of President Trump. We need a chance for continued progress. We need to finish Iran now also while they are just about broken.

We need to let Trump continue cooking for the next 2 years and then judge it in 28.
