Leach actually seemed to know which of our players were on the field. I don't remember one time that Leach credited the wrong player for a play like Herm did every other play.

and didn't feel the need to try to over-talk things. Which is way better than most announcers.

good I thought. He had a alog of one liners that were pretty good. I thought he got a good shot in at Texas Tech when he said Houston doesn't have anyone left on their schedule that comes close to Mississippi State.

This announcing gig might be good for him. Clean up his image a bit and he might very well be on the side lines again. Bobby Knight got a 2nd chance.

I was laughing my *** off at first. The play by play guy asked him what State's offense was going to do and he just said they were going to try and keep it from Houston. His delivery would put your *** to sleep! Funny stuff. But then, I started listening to what he had to say and found him informative.

to a studio quality broadcast. He also hocks, snorts, clears his throat constantly on the radio. I have had to stop listening, but you are right, his knowledge and one liners are good but its painful to listen to.

god that monotone, thought I was watching a 3 1/2 hour clear eyes commercial....Also, anyone else notice that "umm" is Mike's favorite word, wife and I actually made a game of counting the times he said "umm" at the start of the second half, 60 frickin times in the second half, annoying as hell!

He was kind of plain speaking but that is what made him appealing. He knew his ****. You can bet his *** will be back to coaching soon. Hell he might just end up in the SEC one day.</p>
