It was a BIG mistake, but the Ravens ended up winning regardless. Had the Steelers won I think they would need to do something involving a draft pick, but at this point I think $100,000 is fair.

1st pick or no first 1st pick are not the only 2 options. The statement said they would review altering their 1st round pick, so ultimately they could have the 32nd pick in the 1st round regardless of where they finish.

At the end of the day Tomlin is an upstanding member of the NFL as a coach and a public figure. I've always had a ton of respect for him. I believe him when he said he was watching the video board and just didn't realize where he was standing. $100,000 is justice.

We're talking about the NFL though, so I wouldn't be shocked if he is suspended a year and Goodell claims they have a system in place for players to interfere from the sidelines for bonuses.

Draft picks is insane. The money is dumb too.

It was an accident. If he did it intentionally, fine him the first time, ban him the second. Money doesn't do anything in this instance. You know what would? Enforce the sideline penalty rules that already exist and maybe coaches will respect the boundaries more. So what if it could have impacted the outcome? Should the NFL start issuing fines and taking away draft picks for on the field penalties, called or not, that may impact the game. No.

Dumb.

I don't know if it was intentional, but I don't believe his version either. I can't help but think why the hell w/ a return going on is he not watching the play? At first he said he was watching a replay, ********. The previous play was loooong over and replayed before you ever kick off again. Then he said he was watching the return live on the video screen. Come on, a coach on the sideline walking away from the action not watching it live but instead on a screen? I don't know what to believe but I don't believe his story so far.

That big grin on his face after it happened made him look guilty. Whether intentional or not I think a fine was warranted.

Tomlin`s fine is not a big deal but the NFL punishing the Rooney family with the draft pick thing is surprising. They are suppose to be the model NFL owners from what I`ve always heard. Got to be a little more to this than we know.

as others said, that grin tells me his excuse was a lie

That shiteating grin after he did it shows that he knew exactly what he was doing. His excuse was bull.
