I think he's a good recruiter, bad talent evaluator, and a bad offensive coach.

I will say, he needs to shake up his assistants if he wants to stay, we've struggled since Craig Smith left. Need some bright offensive minds next to him or this may end ugly.

Incomplete recruiter.

I'm afraid you are correct. Still need to give him a few years but this doesn't have a happy ending feel to it.

Do what I do and don't care about basketball, makes the season a lot less disappointing.

But yeah, this has the look of something that isn't happening for whatever reason. Kind of surprised, thought he would do some good things here and of course he started out so well. Hope he turns the corner, and soon.

Incomplete recruiter.
I wouldn't call him incomplete, he's just missed on a few.the problem is most coaches would make Jacobson serviceable with fundamentals. Fundamentally sound hasn't been a tim Miles era staple in any form though.

The fact that Miles hasn't even been able to use all our available scholarships each year he has been here...makes him an incomplete recruiter at this point.

You will eat crow. The talent coming in blows away what we've seen before. He will be successful and the program NEEDS to stay the course and not have a revolving door.
You mean like this class and Andrew White? The offense will always be the same until they figure out how to at least move the ball through the post.

The rest of the Big Ten is bringing in talent as well. It will take more than that...and landing a solid big man. Miles is not going to win on recruiting alone...that's evident.

I'm intrigued by Roby, but I'm afraid Horne will be like Morrow, and will struggle when asked to guard BIG caliber 5s, when he should be guarding 4s.

If we are not going to move the ball, and don't have a couple unreal athletic 6'9" to 6' 10" guys, I see Nebraska still struggling.

I was going to ask why Marrows minutes are so few, is it because he's not ready for the big guys down low yet? he does seem to have more of a small forward size then a center or power forward. I love seeing Watson starting and getting a lot of minutes.

I think next year with Gill added in with White, Watson, Marrow and McVeigh and them having a year under there belt and time to jell, offensively we should be a lot better at shooting the ball then we may have ever been as a team.

+1 Morrow is a 4 and they're killing that kid due to their lack of finding a true Big 10 5. I think he could contribute for us. They're just not putting him in a position to succeed.

6'10" sitting on the bench who got zero minutes. He's not productive for us, but another example of swing and miss by Miles at the 5.

Morrow should be facing the hoop after he catches it.

Doc should have received half the time he did, but TO couldn't let go of that mess. Not sure we should use him as a measuring stick

He has recruited well and we play good defense. The problem is on the offensive end. It just seems like our kids don't have basketball smarts. This is why we really need to run some solid sets and move the ball...especially into the post. I like what next year looks like so patience grasshopper.

A lack of ball movement and a legit low post scorer will make any team look stupid.

You have not watched this team much this year if you think we have played good defensively.

Someone actually said we are good defensively? Seriously???? Failing to guard the guy with the ball on a screen and roll posession after posession, game after game is not good defense. Lol. What a joke. Someone has to be joking

Then you are the type of says "we will never make it" but when we do you say "awesome". How about being on the bus that supports and enjoys the fun when it happens.

it's a hedge otherwise.
Totally unfair... I'm the last one who EVER gives up on our coaches, so I'm giving myself a mulligan on this

I agree 100%. The problem is we have NO low post presence. Until that changes we are a .500 club.

The Miles act is wearing thin. Basketball coaches that do not have success at a school in five years; usually don't get over the hump.

Be patient. But Nebraska has to be consistently better than Creighton is the basketball program wants to take the next step.

College basketball is just like college football. Only the blueboods win NCAA championships. Do you guys really expect him to win the conference with MSU, Purdue, Maryland, Indiana in the conference?

Nebraska needs to focus on always being selected for post season tournaments.. With hopes to get hot in the Big tournament.
