The bowl has no choice. But that just means there are too many bowls, which we already know.
And that hurts who? I have had this argument with one of my brother-in-laws for more than 20 years and the number of bowls has only grown since then! 😂

It hurts the entire idea of a bowl game. They used to be a reward for a tough, great season. Now everyone gets one. And it probably hurts schools who.foot the bill for bowl games with low payouts.

Whatever. Would you rather not go? Remember how the other Eastern schools would use the whole “Rutgers will never go to a bowl game” thing against us in the 90s during recruiting? The whole financial argument is BS as many programs going to those bowls are losing money anyway by virtue of participating in D-1 football. Stop being a wet noodle and pull up your chair for the Myrtle Beach Bowl!

He owes everything to Greg!
PJ also owes Kill from his Northern Illinois days.
Jay Novack hired Fleck the year before there but was fired and PJ stayed on under Kill instead of following Novack out the door
Greg brought him to Rutgers after he spent a couple of years working under Jerry Kill at Northern Illinois

Navy has 5 wins with a game with army. A win put them a 6 wins
The same is true of Army. They have five wins and can get to six.

So, why doesn't the Army-Navy winner get the last bowl bid? Because, by rule, the Bowl lineup must be finalized by Selection Sunday. Any wins compiled after that date don't count.

That is a price that the academies pay in exchange for the exclusive national broadcast window they get on the second Saturday of December.
