Minnesota game might be moved from 3/2 to 2/28 to accommodate rescheduling of Minnesota-Michigan State

But it is not fair to us to make us play two road games in three days as part of three games in six days. It would also give Minnesota an extra day of rest to get ready for us coming in. What's in it for us?

Edit to add I just read that Caleb is doubtful for Michigan. What if he ends up missing the Minnesota game because of the back injury, but would've been available on Thursday? We could lose a critical game and end up NIT because we agreed to move this game. This isn't a slam dunk decision IMO.

Michigan State could move its game with Nebraska to accomodate this, but conflicts with a girls hs tournament in Lincoln...

Of course .... we'll get screwed. Minnesota is the one game we can't lose and this would make it a lot tougher

Why isn’t the MSU game being played on 2/28 instead?? Why move our game? Makes zero sense and I realize MSU has been through a lot but why should we be impacted?

MSU already plays on 2/28. The conference will have to make some changes if they’ll fit 5 MSU games into the next two weeks.

Not sure why the following cannot happen but I suspect its TV related.

Move rutgers Minnesota to Wednesday from Thursday.

Have Minnesota and Mich St play Friday (maybe thats the obstacle).

Have OSU and Mich St move from Sat to Sunday.

Unlikely but seemed fair.

Guys…

C’mon …..We are supposed to be in the same confrence and work together …how about acting reasonably accommodating ???

Something Some day may happen here that requires the schedule to change and I would only hope others would do the same …and I think they would

I don't see this as an issue, for all we know MSU could lose 3 of their final 5 games anyway. Given the situation in East Lansing, I'm still shocked they even played this past weekend

If RU can get to Minneapolis after playing PSU Sunday night, then we can do it and then get rested up for NW in the finale.

Play the depth we have even without Caleb likely to be back for these games and let those younger players or veterans in the program like Palmquist and Reiber step up.

Kinda crazy that Minnesota has to fit 6 games into this next two weeks (4 of which are on the road), and will then turn around and have to play Wednesday in Chicago. Tough stretch for them, though it likely won't matter too much in the end.

RU should agree to this change in exchange for the Conference crediting us with a win for the robbery at OSU for purposes of conference seeding!
Now you’re onto something! We’re in a no-win situation with this from a PR standpoint.

It shouldn't. There will be a blizzard this week in Minnesota.

Who knows what might happen next week.

lol
Yeah huge snowstorm/blizzard for the Rockies and Upper Midwest: 2-3' of snow looking likely in Minneapolis on Weds/Thurs and a major sleet/ice storm possible in East Lansing (MSU). Luckily, neither MN nor WI are home this week. Madison and Ann Arbor could also get some sleet and freezing rain and rain, while Lincoln, Chicago and Iowa City should be mostly/all rain.

See a therapist if you’re sweating bullets on playing the worst team in the conference. You could start Aiden Terry & play him for 20 minutes & still win the game.

They'll make us forfeit before accommodating us. If Rutgers can play a home game at MSG, Nebraska can play a home game somewhere else bedsides Pinnacle in Lincoln. So move that game, let them be the accommodating one, hell all they've done is ***** about the conference.

So Nebraska can object to moving a game….
There's already scheduled events at Nebraska that evening (girls state hoops tourney) and who said we haven't "objected?" Maybe that's why the game hasn't been moved yet?

remember we play a late game Thursday night, then a later evening game Sunday and then presumably a 7PM is tip on a Tuesday. 3 games in 5 days while we are depleted
