Auburn scored 22 points on Oregon, the # 2 team in the country & beat them by 4. They scored 17 on Mississippi State & beat them by 3.

Last time I checked, 22-19 was a 3 point difference.
This was my thoughts exactly^ Bears fans drove around with bumper stickers that year saying Ole Miss 31 - National Champs 30. Don't be like them.whitedog said:Lets not play this game. I hated it in '08 when Florida won and some of my bear friends kept talking about how they were better than the national champions. It was so stupid.
As a matter of fact, I was at every home game and was at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville. I believe that Elliot made contributions this year and improved, even if not as much as perhaps we had hoped for. Horrible? - No. Could be better? - Yes. Best role is on the bench? - I disagree. While his season was not as good as Ballard's, he did contribute and got better as the season progressed.JohnDawg said:And we hadn't fully developed the best use for Elliot? Did you even watch our team this year? The best role for Elliot is to sit his *** on the bench. He's horrible. Take your sunshine elsewhere.
I agree, but where you are wrong is on the "gloat a little bit." The guys I was talking about acted like they actually were national champs that year. They claim they have 3 national championships and dont have any. Hell, on the side of their stadium it says "2003 SEC Western Division Champions." Every egg bowl in oxford, I love asking the closest rebel about that. I say, "Who did yall play in Atlanta that year?"I'd say the bears have a genuine reason to gloat a little bit. They didn't have a national championship caliber team that year as proven by their losses, but they certainly can claim that they were one of the better teams in 2008. Denying that would be idiotic.
I think you're right.freddawg said:I think you must be confusing Elliot with Perkins.
