Their Dline looked very good last night (I don't know what USC's oline is supposed to be like though). We all know about Powe. Were there any others on that dline that followed orgeron's "plan" coming out of high school? </p>

Lockett was borderline. Tillman was borderline. Laurent was borderline. The others in the 2 deep were fine with grades. None of the 3 listed though had to do an abnormal amount of make up work to get eligible. They were just your typical borderline players that needed summer school, improving an ACT, things like that.

on them SC shot themselves in the foot early and often last night. In the second half UM bunched up the box on them.

Spurrier knew blitzing was Nix's tendency, and he caught us in a lot of blitzes taking advantage of our man coverage, hitting backs out of the backfield, throwing screens. In the second half, when we blitzed, it was usually a zone blitz, and we ended up with only 4 rushing anyway. When we started dropping 7, they had more trouble.

SC just sat on that lead because that is about all they could do. There offense is Croomtastic.

SC was burning UM with the middle screen then just quit using it. Maybe UM adjusted. But it never just stopped working. SC just stopped going to it.

If you have ever read the book "Meat Market", Orgeron had something like 17 players take BYU courses to get eligible. He learned this practice at USC, but it was kind of under the radar until he ramped it up at Ole Miss.
