Until Kentucky concerns itself with real programs and not Louisville, they'll never be successful
Denial doesn't look good on you. We have to recognize why Little Bro has passed us up in football, and seek to do what's necessary to defeat them. It's silly to put your head in the sand and ignore reality.

I didn't say they haven't. But that's like passing up a Pinto, it's not that hard to do.

What matters to me is that we have problems , not that Louisville is having success . Louisville has nothing to do with us , you're only making yourself mad for nothing . I'm watching back to the future on amc , not upset at all . This won't be fixed shortly , don't kill yourself .

Wish I had a time Machine somehow go back and find a way to convince KENTUCKY to hire Bobyy Petrino. Somehow take footage of a few of the games . Games like last years UL VS KENTUCKY and ULvs FSU from today. Then show them few of our games this year etc... Present the evidence and they would have to Hire Bobby P!

Guess what New Mexico State's head coach's record is at NM State ??

Give up......8-30

Not kidding. And we are locked up in a tie like they are an SEC mid-tier team.

I'm sure you wouldn't, you'd prefer Mitch Barnhart's definition of success, lots of money wasted on great jobs for all his friends.
Nothing could happen to make me want BP as coach , ever . This will all be forgotten when midnight madness gets here .

Nobody gives a **** about basketball, I'm tired as hell of watching Cal choke with all that talent anyway!

So you don't give a bleep, but you have clearly been watching..make up your mind. As I've told you football only types...go be Alabama fans. I really don't get the football only fans at UK. If you love football, go root for Bama, or OSU or some school like that. I don't know why you love the misery.

I'm sick and tired of reading about basketball over here. Keep that crap on Rafters. I'll worry about it in January when football is over.

I agree with you. I'm not sure what basketball has to do with football and vice versa.

I do admit I get drawn into convos on it when people make dumb comments about it.

I have read more of your posts on here this evening and owe you an apology for going off on you earlier. I misread your intent and thought you were one of these basketball is everything hoo - ha's instead of reading your comments as a simple statement of facts about how things are at Kentucky. I agree, I love seeing the basketball team do well but I can't get excited for two months of terrible opponents. I watch football, and I watch the cupcake games but there are only three or four basketball games even worth getting excited about until SEC play rolls around. It's football season and our fans need to be talking football, not throwing in the towel and moving on to Madness. It's precisely how the administration has gotten by for decades.

You're all sheep, nation laughs at us at basketball calling us cheater U! NCAA hates us, terrible seeding and even worse officiating during our bball games.....all the while we're served a **** sandwich with ketchup when it comes to the most popular college sport in the nation. I don't love misery I just know garbage when I see it. UK Athletics is under terrible leadership so I'm done writing checks to them and we're in the top 1% of wage earners in the state of KY! Louisville just handed Florida State their worst loss in the history of the program, let that sink in losers!

Sec play is awful. I can't even watch SEC basketball.

As for the coach I think Calipari is actually leading the pattern for what college basketball is evolving into--and that is a springboard to the pros. right wrong or indifferent, you'll see more of this. Our bball can go on autopilot. One of the few self supporting basketball PBUs in the country.

As for football, UK needs to put all its eggs into it now, and reap the benefits of it.

The constant UL talk really discredits the notion that UL fans are obsessed with UK. We see that talk all the time during basketball season. Some posters in this thread have lost the right to talk about "Lil Bro" fans.

I'm a UK grad. I'm not going to be a FB fan of another school. An idiotic idea. FB is a much better sport than hoops. That's why it interests me first. I don't love the misery.

He claims to love both. His monicker AND posts say otherwise. Basketball apologist--and you'd NEVER see him call out the bball-only fans.

My dad passed away Thursday night... one of our last conversations was how Barnhart has to go along with Stoops.

He was 87 so he saw many years of UK Football. He told me nothing will change because it never has.

He didn't like Petrino but knew he would win at UK.

We both wanted Stoops to succeed but we never have seen any indication that's going to happen.
Sorry about your dad...

For some of us, there is absolutely nothing that can happen in minor sports, including bball, that makes up for losing in Football. I'd gladly give up every bball win ;every bball championship just to know we'd at least be bowl eligible for the remaining years of my life.

You have a right to your opinion. I like all UK sports myself and BBall is hardly a minor sport. If you have that level of disdain for BBall at the greatest BBall school in history, you may be happier following another school.

He didn't say he had disdain for basketball. He hates the historical starving of football and the basketball ADs that put our program in deep crap. I like our basketball team and our players, but truth be told, it IS considered an afterthought in this country and Esp the SEC except for a few weeks in March in Vegas.

No football success will erase a history of dominate basketball (actually nothing will ;) ), but once UK gets its crap together..it's gonna get football crazy here.

I like basketball but with a heap of perspective. We need to put football first and that falls on the AD and administration.

He said BBall is a minor sport and he would trade all of our basketball history to have at least a mediocre football team every year. That is disdain.

And I'm sure you're pleased as punch to tell him that.
Sounds like you hate the truth , if it bothers you then that's a problem with you and not me . Almost no positive history , one of the worst in state recruiting pools , in the toughest conference ever , at a basketball school . But by all means ignore those facts and get frustrated because I point it out , I don't care .

Sounds to me you like to make your agenda sound like iron clad truth.

Kansas St had NO history before Bill Snyder...AND in a tough Big 8/12. It's Kansas for crying out loud you don't think they recruit out of state?

Dude just stop

Kansas state is not a basketball school and their conference is not as competitive as the sec or even close . How many titles have different sec teams won over the last 10 to 15 years and how many has their conference won . That you think the situations are remotely comparable only illustrates how unaware you are of UK's plight . Go pick another school with loose connections to anchor that sinking ship on . Everything I said in my previous post is iron clad truth and anybody honest would admit that . You can be salty , stay salty but it's not going to change the predicament you're in .

Louisville normally recruits a different part of the nation. They have had a Florida pipeline since Hurtt was there. They also have done well taking in some talented kids that were dismissed from other schools. Some of them have taken that last chance to heart.

Apparently the ACC doesn't care about kids on football teams getting in trouble as the SEC does.
