Compared to the alternative, it's understandable. A rotting banana would be a better president than the current orange idiot.

I’m just looking forward to January 2029 when we will finally (hopefully) once again have a President who wasn’t born yet when Bugsy Siegel and Al Capone were still alive.

I think its more to do with McConnell being the chairman of the committee for rules and administration rather than anything related to Massie who just got pounded in his reelection attempt. McConnells handlers have orchestrated the throttling of a lot of stuff Trump wants on the committee level and they do not want that jeopardized imo.
