Should be a good game, if the Mounties show up and limit turnovers they should win, but it's in the "hole" they call the Pit as in armpit of hades that evens it out some. I'm going Mitchell 27 Kitties 16

We need to have a couple after the game if nothing more than for our pal Travis Silvers he would be so proud of Gabe he was one of my best pals I miss him and think about him all the time we used to race every Sat night one time I outrun his Mustang in his moms Camaro it was hilarious we both almost got beat after that one lol she wasn't happy

Yeah he would he dated my cousin forever me and him hung out alot, he actually came to my oldest sons bday partys till he was about 3, we raced all the time and tossed back a few he was as good a fella as ever came out of that county I hope Gabe sees this and knows how proud of him he would have been

Is it true the JV game is cancelled due to no referees? Was hoping to see the next great WHC QB. I know ther is a shortage of officials so this may be the case. Hopefully no one will, but I am sure you will here “they were just afraid”. It is a shame these kids don’t get to play if true.
The ref shortage I am afraid will only get worse. It is amazing the things you hear yelled and refs threatened anymore. I saw a guy follow a ref out of the gym couple years ago and throw a punch at the ref. Crazy times. I was talking to a former official and he was telling me about this 10-12 year old kid cussing him out and when the official asked the coach on the sideline to get the kid to calm down, the coach told him it was his child and he could yell anything he wanted because he wasn’t a coach. At that point the official tried to have the child removed from the sideline because he wasn’t supposed to be there. Before it was over LE was involved ugly ugly scene. He turned in his whistle the next day. Said it was worth it to be apart of such things.
Most of the time those yelling from the stands have no idea even what they are yelling about. Yes they are some horrible officials but most of the times those yelling just want to be blaming someone for the failed result of the play. It gets me when both sides are screaming at officials at the same time about the same things.
Anywho back to the game at hand.
Never ever overlook or think for one minute a game in the hole will be an easy win, as Heritage always has the officials on their side and gets all the calls.. Just had too..
Seriously though you cannot go in to the hole and expect an easy game. I promise the green bunch will hit you in the mouth. So far in every hard road game I have picked Mitchell to win they have come out losing so I will not make a pick this week on this game. Because I cannot pick Heritage no matter what against Mitchel.

In my opinion if that linebacker hadn't got hurt late in the game, Mitchell would have beat swain.
Lol they still might. Avery looked more skilled than Heritage Friday night. They would have probably won if they didn't have more penalty yards than Heritage had offensive yards. They couldn't even score on Pisgah...

I can prove that cause I was on that team. 1-11 For 2 years straight. Knowing what I know now I would've done things so different. BUT the memories last forever. Im tickled to death that travise turned things around and I remember clearly signing the petition my fellow students passed around. Proud moment when Coach Pitman was anounced as the next coach. Makes me a little jealous to be honest that these younger kids get to experience the way he coaches. Now I get to enjoy my brother play. Mitchell by 9.
Listen last two years you know i was on here talking all manner of $h!t. Had a kid playing and last year just like purple1995 this year I was staring down the last few games and i got a little hot during the game at Mitchell and probably said some things I shouldn’t have and worded things the wrong way but my goodness this guy is ridiculous. If I ever get on here and start trashing youth coaches from any county who are taking their time “unpaid” to try to help and work with kids I hope you all get together and come whoop my ***. I worked the youth league board in Yancey for 3 years. I know what a thankless job and all the BS you deal with. In my opinion he don’t represent MH at all and most of the guys that were on here the past few year have had their kids graduate. And the offer of his A$$ to call me is still open. And on the joking side….Where you at 1995? Got some cougar green sour apple shine that would probably put you down lol

Just want to say good luck to both teams, no injuries for either team, good officials and as always great fans for both teams. You know it wasn't to long ago that both teams wasn't much good, but the boys and the coaches for BOTH teams have gave our little part of NC the respect our kids deserve. The past few years I have looked forward to this game. It's fun to watch and the bragging rights for a year is so worth it. May the best team win and God Bless You and your family.GDTBAM

Saturday morning a green team supporter and I will compete as a team on the golf course. I just got to remember to pull my driver from his *** where I put it Friday night.
