Mitchell Over Walkertown To Play WRH For (State Championship)

We can't handle anybody giving us a better game than East Wilkes, they gave us all we wanted and then some.
FridayNight...you probably werent even at the game. If you were then you wouldnt make such ridiculous comments. The game was won by Mitchell 17-14. You should know by posting the scores all night that the game was epic, and tit for tat throughout. So im sure Mitchell/Walkertown will be a good game. But if you knew what you were talkin about, then you would know that East and Mitchell gave each other all that they wanted.
I was not at the game but had a tweeter there from a newspaper that was and I did not say it was not a tight game ,only that Walkertown will be a tuffer game for Mitchell. Try reading my post again. Mitchell kicked a field goal with under 3 minutes to go leaving East Wilkes with under 3 minutes to score and time ran out on EW. I had no dog in the fight and don't really care what you think of what I post ! ! How about you posting the scores for the area from now own. People like you are driving me away from doing it. I HAVE NO MORE TO BE SAID ON ON THE SUBJECT ! ! !

Hope that Mitchell can use the home field to slow down the machine that is Walkertown over the past couple of games. They seem to be peaking at the right time. Think Mitchell will have to use a balanced attack to try and keep Walkertowns offense off the field.
How well does Walkertowns fans travel? Would love to have a full house.

What I was getting at was IMO Walkertown would have beat East Wilkes on that night and also IMO East Wilkes gave Mitchell all the could handle and then some , I mean it is obvious it was a 3 point game with a 3 point win with under 3 minutes to go. I was pulling for East Wilkes if it was not seen in my pre-game posts and predicted EW to win. I should not have to defend that.

Lol. FridayNight. I dont remember anyone begging you to post the scores anyway. Heck someones always correcting them anyway. Great effort i give you that. But no something about the game that you werent at before you spout off your mouth assuming other teams will give a better game. You werent there you sound stupid. Im done.
Thats just your opinion. Styles makes fights. Im sure in your opinion East Surry would beat EW too. Both teams lost. Maybe you should spare us all..stop posting scores..and actually attend a game..not go off other peoles twitter post to form your opinion of who will give a better game. It gets no better than 3 points scored with under 3 minutes to determine a game in most opinions.
Michell's balance shined in the 2nd half. Their playcalling especially with qb draws kept our D on the field basically the entire 2nd half. We normally wear teams down by two platooning
It seems that you guys stronger and stronger. Credit that to good conditioning. To me that was the difference in the trenches. For the 1st time all year our defensive didnt dominate the 2nd half. They however performed well all year including last night.

You are not worth my time. I have not seen anyone correct my scores , maybe a post leading up to the game . Go blow fly someone else that cares for your opinion , as I don't ! ! Agree that the difference was line play. Last night took longer than most nights have for Mitchells line to control the game. You are correct DaBlue your line did perform well last night. Mitchells skill guys get a lot of press, but the line is what makes the engine go.
On that note, congratulations to your son Redy, he played well last night.
Good Luck to both Teams. I listened to the Robbinsville~ Murphy Game last night. I feel like Anyone that has Their team in it is a blessed Person. I'm just a misplaced Stanly County, YVC Fan. Wishing the best to the 4 Teams in each of the Classifications
Just know what youre talking about. Then you dont have to keep changing names because someone retorts to something stupid that you posted. I really dont pay attention to your score post that much. There are usually others at the games that post where Im not attending. Good day.
Thanks for the compliment on my son bowhunter, I thought he was a little sluggish the first half but got it cranked up a little the second half but really that could be said for the whole team. East Wilkes is a very good team and played very hard, I thought Mitchell overthrew some wide open receivers that would have opened the offense up and he usually easily makes those throws. I can't help but wonder if the third round and all the hype made him nervous or if he was so hyped up he was overthrowing it. Without him running the ball hard in the second half the outcome could have easily been the other way. He more than made up for the throws with his legs. I hope he gets a different helmet this week because we need that thing to stay on his head. The big surprise by a coach last night was when we had 4th down and the qb was having to sit out a play we lined up to go for it and then EW called timeout and we decided during the timeout to kick the field goal. Very exciting ballgame, I thought we were done when we got down by 14, the kids never quit.

They sure didnt...DARN IT!!!...Great game. I thought we had it too. The Cards have been the Cardiac pack all year against the top 3 other teams in our conference. They would fall behind, then storm back and take Big Mo from the opposing team. The scenario fli floppef on us last night. Great effort from both squads.
You are correct redy about the over throws. I thought part of his troubles was due to the early pass rush from EW. He was having to throw over a couple 6'4" lineman. Then once the line started to protect him he continued to b high. But man did he run the ball hard. Would not trade him for any QB we have played this season.

Walkertown is only a 5 year old HS. Unlike all schools in the WSFCS they are a community school and the community for years had been wanting their own HS. I'm not sure they will travel like the traditional powerhouses of the NW1A (Mt. Airy, E. Surry) but they should bring a good crowd. I know they had a good crowd Friday at ES, but it was only a 30 minute drive. A few factors against their travel this Friday is distance and it is a work day unlike this past Friday.
You are the only person that has posted a negitave comment on my posting score. I have had several thank you for doing so and I do it because I know some out there like it and it is something I like to do and if you think you can do better then have at it .I get a thank you every week from the administrator of another Sports site for posting the score from the west .Someone likes keeping up with my scores. It got over 2300 views during and after the game last night and truth known you probable kept up with it to see who was winning the ES WT game. You just looked for someone to take your loss out on and tried to make my post out of something i did not mean or say ! No other EW fan attacked my comment. You are the one that made a fool of yourself with someone that was pulling for EW. I was not going to say anything else but the more I thought about how stupid your remarks were about no one caring about my posting scores with now over 2400 views as of today, then I decided you are not a good observer and speak out of the wrong end when things don't go your way. seen both teams...will be a good one but one thing Walkertown can do that the others could not is throw it down field....they've got some speed on the outside.....Mitchell needs to control the ball and keep their O off the field....but then again Mitchell can put up points...will be interesting
Do you have a prediction bareman? I have no idea on a prediction since I have no idea about Walkertown. I am just glad to be playing this coming week. I am so proud of this great group of kids. The field goal kicker that kicked the winner on Friday night has had hmany health problems in his life and it is a real feel good story for him. I am sure that is one of the biggest moments of this kids life as it should be.BTW Bareman, my wife made the food for the pressbox when we played Mt Airy and if you want some good food this Friday then come out on the practice field behind the pressbox.
Thanks for invite but I'm doing a basketball game on the radio....tough to make a prediction b/c both teams have overcome obstacles to get here....but this one will come down to a trench battle....that decides it...BTW the press box food was good!!!
It should be a interesting game. Both teams beat Mt Airy by about the same score. Walkertown played a tough schedule.Mitchell played some bigger schools.Hope I can get off work in time to maybe make it to the game.

Yes, I took offense to your comment about Walkertown perhaps giving Mitchell a better game, as in essence it seems that you somewhat slighted an EW team that clawed and scratched and gave Mitchell every bit that they could handle. So yes i may have been the only one that took it like that. And yes you are right. I enjoy your scores. It takes a ton of effort to do what youve been doing. I like others at times may speak out of pure emotions at times. That is truly what happened. Could you have worded it a lil better? Well, maybe perhaps. So my friend I appreciate your scores. No problem, I fully understand. It is had to take a loss when 3 rounds in the play offs and you are undefeated . Yall had a great season,great team and I hope next year is just as good ! Maybe I should have worded it a little different but my thoughts was Walkertown is a 2A school and will be playing 1a until the 2017 realignment and they beat a great team in East Surry that was undefeated also.With just a few more students and East Surry will go 2A but not in 2017 but could in 2021. I was really hoping for a Cardnial vs Cardnial game next week. Thanks for the understanding !
I probably will if I find enough people going to the games that will tweet the games or radio stations covering them. I don't think the local stations here or over your way covered them last year but I think I saw today where the one in town here was going to cover Mount Airy again this year. Got one coming up Wednesday and I will know then. I also may have another source this year I did not have last year. I will do what I can,with no promisses. Football gets reall tuff at times and basketball may much harder with 2 and sometime 3 games a week. I have never tried basketball. But I will see how the new source turns out. I am pulling for our local team and everyone can carry on and leave me out of my thread and the conversation . In no way was I putting EW down. Try reading all my posts after the first one.The first was not meant to put EW down . Common sense says they played as good as Mitchell minus the field goal, but I will not change it and make everyone wonder what all these posts were about. Mark it up as my bad and leave it at that because I am.

Walkertown may be "underdogs"...... Griddie you know how this will play out. Barring any weather, jet lag, officiating...etc........ The 1AA will be decided in Duplin County. Walkertown is the best 1AA West team I've seen in the last 5-6 years this late in the season. They are a unit, have played together for 3-4 years and seem to be mistake free. Any given Friday night you will have a hiccup. Best of luck to Mitchell. You have home field. Pray for snow. Again, it's 2A/AA vs. legit 1AA teams. Say what you want but give me 100-200 kids more to chose 5-8 players from and I'll take those odds.
