and the Big12 is BITTER!! I was not overwhelmed with the Mizzou add at first but I have completely changed my mind. Mizzou and aTm are homerun additions to the SEC. I am really starting to get excited for the new 14 schools. The next 10 years the SEC is going to dominate collegiate athletics.

The schedule announced for next season is just for that season. No one knows yet what order the rotations will be after that. Or even how many SEC games we will play (though my money is still solidly on us staying with an 8-game schedule for the long-term). We could play them as early as 2013 or as late as 2022 depending on if it's a 1 or a 2 team rotation and where they fall in the rotation.

How long before the SEC adds Oklahoma and Texas is the real question. I think within 5 years.

the Pac-12 has a better chance at taking both of them than the SEC does. As Texas is now, I don't think the SEC would realistically want to deal with the drama that they present. If the option did present itself though... there's a good chance they may take them, but I just don't see that situation presenting itself.

and therefore will not get Oklahoma. I believe that OU and OSU are locked together by the state school charter. So their state congress will not let them split. If the SEC expands to 16 it will be to the East. We will wait a few years to see if the ACC weakens more, which it probably will.

Texas is toxic. They got shut down cold by both the Pac-12 and the ACC last year. What makes you think they SEC would want them? We're about to enter a period of stability among the 5 major conferences. Only changes I see in the next few years are possibly the ACC adding a couple more Big East teams and the Big 12 adding a couple more teams. Other than that, the SEC, Big 10 and Pac-12 are set.

Though Virginia/UNC is also a possibility. If the ACC schools are really committed to staying together, the SEC doesn't really have much else to expand.<div>
</div><div>Oklahoma would have a spot if it wanted one, but it doesn't. I'm sure the SEC would probably take a Big 10 school like Illinois if that school wanted it, but again, it's unlikely. And there is much mutual disinterest in the SEC and Texas.</div>

Never heard of ANY Sec/Texas talk where they got to keep LHN, or at least the revenue from LHN. Everything in the SEC gets split roughly equal down the middle, and that has never been up for negotiation.
