Big Blue takes the trip up to Mocksville to take on Davie to open up the season. What do we think? Through two scrimmages we’ve looked good on the defensive side. I know we will have to keep a lock on Carney, but who else does Davie have?

I’m not sure who all comes back for Davie other than Carney. I think if Mooresville can stop him they may have a chance. As of now I think a 7 point game maybe in favor of Davie. I believe Mooresville will be a much more improve team.
I would say 2-0 Davie, but it is to early in the year to know what kind of defense Mooresville has. Davie wins with a running clock in the 4th quarter.
This is going to be a donnybrook, I think it's a slugfest that could go down to the wire. Ultimately I think Davie is more explosive, but I'm not sure that they are as talented across the board as Mooresville is. The true winners will be the fans in the stadium.
Mooresville Run D has to be good. I think this game come down to Can Mooresville make Davie pass n can Mooresville score enough point offensively

Here’s what I will say.. our lines are still in development, but I think we are ahead of where we were at this point in the spring. We will have to be able to establish the run I think. I don’t know who we are starting at QB. But it’ll either be our QB that missed the scrimmages or a sophomore with no varsity starts. Being able to take pressure of the QB by being able to run the ball is going to be pivotal I think. I think we have some of the better WR groups we’ve had in a while this year.
I think I’m leaning towards Davie. But close and lower scoring. 21-17 kind of game I think.
We owe Davie one after the last time we were there lol
