LOL haven't they heard? It's the age of "5-7 gets you a bowl game and 2 extra weeks of practice" LOL!!!

Really, they should just allow all teams the extra 2 weeks of practice - tying it to bowl qualification just widens the gap between the upper and lower echelons of teams, and encourages scheduling weaker teams in order to get to bowl qualification.

Half of the Big XII is also .500 or worse right now:

3-3: Kansas State, West Virginia
2-4: Iowa State, Texas
0-6: Kansas

Florida State and Clemson are both really good teams. So are Baylor and TCU.
