There is no sugar coating the fact that he obviously needs help for his alcoholism. That is bad. He's a fkn mess man. What a blow to the program. The kids the fans the state. Huggs went out like that

Word on the Street is that Baker spoke with the team and told them no decision has been made yet.
The ONLY way I see Huggs saving his job is if he does the following:

1. Makes statement in which he suspends himself (leave of absence) for an undisclosed length
2. Vows to enter in to a rehab facility to work on his "addiction"

Even those thing may not be enough. Personally, I love Huggs. I was not upset about his choice of words on the radio show because to be honest, they are just words and weren't intended to harm the alphabet soup groups. But this is different. He could have killed someone. He's almost 70 years old and a millionaire. He would hold his own players accountable for the decision he made, so why should we expect anything but a harsh punishment against Huggs? In a span of 60 days, he has put a black eye on the university and the basketball program. He is not representing the state or the university the way that he wants his players to do. So..........I think it is time for Huggs to step aside and rise off to the sunset.

I was thinking the same thing about potential conditions that could lead to him staying but it seems like a slim chance. They can do what they want and I hate to see Huggins go but there is no way you could blame them for firing him or blame fans for being upset. He effed up

Give him a path back, if he refuses to take it so be it. That’s some wild **** to read though, not knowing where he’s been since 1:30 in the afternoon to get what sounds like a beer munchies run, while clearly driving with open containers and throwing them in a garbage bag in the passenger side. Dude is an alcoholic, must get rehab to stay on.

I don't care what his GPA was..he's an idiot. Huggins could hire a full time driver for 50K a year and it wouldn't put a dent in his money..If you don't want to stop drinking..fine!..just hire someone to drive your dumb *** around to fund raisers, golf outings etc

You don't understand. Many alcoholics don't think they have a problem and can control their drinking. This appears to be Huggs.

I don't want him back. I'd likely be as pissed at WVU for retaining him after this as much as if WVU had canned him to make professional victims happy. Had Huggins killed a family in a car accident during this DUI, not a single person would be for keeping him. Issue is there is NO difference between Huggins actions in the above scenario and what actually happened, just the outcome.
