BOD were not at all happy with the testimony that emerged in the trial Dr. Scott Lynch v Penn State Health in May of 2024. Much testimony was presented regarding Franklin's interfering with medical treatments and return to play decisions. That, plus his inability to develop a powerful offensive line was all they needed. They were ready.
Yep just like they were more than ready to cover their arses by making Paterno the scapegoat over the Sandusky case; think that paying money to real and imagined victims would make the scandal go away quickly; and didn’t appeal the Lynch verdict despite very valid grounds to do so. By the way, there was no testimony by Lynch or any one else during the trial that Franklin’s alleged interference ever caused Lynch to change any medical decision.

I repeat what I'm told I can repeat...its a simple concept. Has been that way around these boards for many many years....you don't have to believe me....couldn't care less. Simply stated what I've been told my those who would know. I always love these kinds of posts....as it's supposed to bother me. Some anonymous person doesn't believe me...how will I ever survive?
And I think that the true source for someone who continuously posts alleged “inside” information without naming either any names or their position at Penn State is figment of their imagination. Touche.

Not sure what you think that has to do with the post. The talent level between the two teams is ridiculous and they were without their best player. As good as Allar could have been Kaytron was our best player.
But of course you wouldn’t understand the comparison. By the way, Nebraska’s RB not Riola is their best player.

Name the people who are also conducting interviews and told what you claim or shut the hell up. Sorry big guy but if really had any genuine info you would be the last person I would share it with.

KingHando is such a laughable tool, it isn't even funny. He isn't even a PSU fan (or grad) - let alone be a program insider. He's a pathetic little douche troll who has no association with PSU or vested interest in the program. These b1g douche trolls get more laughable all the time.

What person, even in the media, says who their source is? That's when you no longer have a source.

Drinkowitz wife does not like State College area, fine, dumb a$$ wife. With the money on the table, she could hire a limo bi-weekly w/2-3hr drives to major cities-NYC, Philly, Washington, Pitt...or have in the contract, access to PSU private jet.
I wasn't rooting for Drinkowitz anyway, Debouer I have been since James left.
Bro, how is living in State College in the actual middle of nowhere fun for a wife with a 50 million dollar roll?

Other than not throwing on 3rd and long with 2:09 left and the clock stopping at 2:00 any way, what else did Smith mismanage at the end of the Indiana game?
Taking an egregious timeout on a stopped clock to save however many seconds it would take to snap and spike the ball, his last of the game.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that I will not be the next HC of Penn State football. That is my inside information!
That’s a LIE! I have it on good authority that you were interviewed a few days ago and KILLED IT! Don’t play games with us, PSUF!

And how do you reset a program when hiring Smith? Inevitably, you retain a huge chunk of the staff and leader culture under Franklin. And the first time things look Franklin-esque, everyone hits the panic button.

It’s a recipe for major problems if you are Kraft.
Yeah unfortunately it cannot happen for a variety of reasons. Kraft is in a tough spot but he has to stay true to the mission of improving the program.

Not passing judgement here, but it was wild to hear, on tengwalls latest podcast(maybe last night?) Making the rounds on Twitter he flat out says " by year 2 in the program it became obvious to me that James doesnt know anything about football." One guy's opinion, but just amazing. That now, with programs with GMs and NIL, there is no longer a need for a coach that is sort of a figurehead recruiting guy, you need actual ball coaches and Franklin ain't it.

Same reason people claimed rules didn't apply to me on the old board
The reality of the situation is that a bunch of new names are popping up over the past 12 hours. Maybe its all BS maybe not. But I've been consistent since day 1 on what I've said. Cignetti was not being considered. Rhule was not being considered. Elko was target one...they had lots of talks with Urban and still likely are. Hartline is or was (hopefully is) plan B.
Applause…but pure conjecture.

Even though I'm for Chesney, I agree with you that BOT needs to go with whatever recommendation the AD makes on this particular coaching hire. It will be on him and I'm sure he knows that.
The problem is if Kraft hires a guy that the boosters are not all in on. That could create issues. I guess if he starts winning they jump on board but he won't have much margin for error.
