He's projected mid 40's so I'd say the answer to your question is yes he could stay and get selected.
Does he value a few million in hand or being coached and improving more? Its not as much as a slam dunk hes back that many think
What might be tempting him is other bigs like Haugh and Condon declining the draft to stay in college.
That alone has moved Moreno’s projected spot up a bit higher without him having to do damn thing.

Plus #43 is just an arbitrary number for his draft range.

Projections are guesses. At least precise ones are. But I think it's safe to say he is somewhere in the drafted 20th to 50th (I know that's a big range, but it does say he won't be a lottery pick or close).
You can't teach 7'0. But he clearly has a lot of basketball growth to go. At this point he wouldn't contribute to an NBA team next year. He'd spend the whole season in the G-league. And he will (probably) make more playing at Kentucky. And draft picks going to the G-league and then "making it" in the NBA has been a mixed bag.
My GUESS is 80-90% he's returning.

This. He’ll be back. Asinine to think he won’t be. Just doesn’t make sense for him to stay in the draft. In any sense.
Hes coming back, that being said, this might be my biggest concern so far with this roster. He is gonna have to take a major leap over the summer. Pope really needed a big as good or close to Moreno, you know he is gonna get in foul trouble and lay several stinkers and there aren’t any left.
He'll make a lot more in a UK jersey next year and probably end up in a better draft position in '27

If Haugh and Condon return and he leaves, well that is UK is a nutshell the past 10 years.
Pat isn’t that dumb. MM can’t shoot and is slow and lazy.
On what he showed this year at Kentucky, he has definitely nba potential but is not ready.
from what him and his brother said the plan was for him this past year to be a back up. because of JQ and BG situation he stepped in a starter role and he had his high moments but when he hit the middle and end of SEC season it showed that he still has work to do.
This year class is very strong so the logical decision would be return based on where MM is right now.

I remember there was a guy we used to hate when stuff like that happened. We pushed him out and said NEVER AGAIN.
Not saying it will happen, but IF it does -- will be hilarious.
They did draft Shabazz Napier late 1st rd one year because someone wanted to do him a favor (I forget what the situation was, I just vaguely remember something like that).
I honestly don’t think uk has no nba players. Nick Richard’s is way better and has a good shot around the rim and he’s barely hanging in the nba.

I agree -- there's not gonna be any NBA players from last year's team, that's for sure. I haven't seen Oweh on any mocks -- someone will probably give him a G League shot, but I don't think he's skilled enough to be a guard in the league. I see an outside chance of Mo D being on a team for his rebounding and defense, but he'll be repping a different school by the time that happens.
And make a lot more in 27 at Kentucky as well as 28. He’s going to have his family out with him on senior night at Rupp. Too much money, and not a big enough chance he can stay in the NBA long enough to have a good enough career to earn a big time contract. . He can get there, I think he’s more likely a four year college player.

I'd say if the roster stays as craptastic as it is now and he's still projecting mid 2nd...I could see a world where he stays. Still think it's highly unlikely.
The problem is Pope. He doesn't do any part of job well. That leads to the recruiting problem.
Only in the micro. Is it possible that Sheppard could have made more his sophomore year in college than his first year in the NBA? Yes. But would he have $40 million over the next 3 years? No!
That guy at UNC is turning down $7 mil to stay in the draft. He won't make $7 mil next year in the NBA.
Will Moreno improve his draft status by playing another year for Pope? Or will he still be a 2nd round project after his sophomore year? That's the question he has to answer.
imo no. He runs the risk of being exposed this upcoming year. A lot more pressure on him to produce with a much more limited frontcourt
