Good Lord. PTSD post^^^
Apparently in my family, the only time to cut firewood was on sunny, 93 degree late summer/early fall days.

To this day the smell of fresh cut Red Oak gives me sunburn, sweats, blistered hands, splinterd fingers, phantom wasp sting/ant bites, dehydration, and an aching back. Good times.
We cut every Thanksgiving Day I can remember, unfortunately my father couldn't tell the difference between an Oak and Sweetgum. Getting stuck was a sure thing also. Don't let anyone tell you that sweetgum can't be split, but it takes a lot of wedges and a lot of time.

I still cut to this day and absolutely love it, I love the smell of a fire.

I'll be "part of the problem" at the Texas game this year. I remember the 1999 Cotton Bowl and they skulldragged us. Hopefully, this year's game will have a better result. If nothing else, I won't be freezing my arse off in freezing drizzle at DWS like that game.

Anyone still talking **** about Lebby should literally go pound sand and then take a swift kick in the nuts.
Honestly, I'm not even sure why this topic of "3rd year or not" with Lebby is even still brought up. We have a coach who can recruit (skill players at least), who hires good assistants and fills holes when he sees them on staff, who can obviously motivate the players to play hard to the end, and who is young and learning how to coach. The progress is unmistakable. He isn't going anywhere and we shouldn't want him to at this point.

I hate burning sweet gum wood. All it does is smoke and pop.

Hopefully the team isn’t hung over this year like that game as well.
