I have heard all he complaints about the CL moving to a subscription based services... I for one have done nothing, I just click the links and they open, zero prompt for a password or anything for that matter, just read the article and close the window when I am done.

You get seven free reads then after that when you log on to a story it blacks out and you can't read the CL anymore. The paper just isn't good enough for me to pay to read.

Same for me; I click the RSS links through Google Reader and never get any kind of login prompt. All I get is a pop-up telling me "this is your last free article," but it's been saying that for the last 2 weeks.

Not directed at you specifically, but why do people continue to ***** about this? If they paper is that bad, then why bother reading it anyway? The cost is minimal ($10-$12 per month for weekend delivery & unlimited website access for me). Either pay it or don't pay it. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me either way.
