Most impressive freshman this season has been Jamoral Graham...

He certainly

doesn't look like a freshman, either. I'm really excited for his future at State.

Agree he's had some good returns. He's also made some bad decisions in not returning a few returnable ones and a bad fair catch at LSU. If he can clean up those freshman mistakes he'll be an asset for us this year.

The one at LSU that the announcers said he made a bad decision to fair catch at about the 25 wasn't that bad of a decision. He had no blockers and 4 LSU players bearing down on him. He wouldn't have gotten much out of that return. The one he fair caught at the 5 was a mistake though.

Yeah I thought the one he fair caught at the 25 was because we had a rush on, so he thought he would have no blockers. Had some space, but may not have had much.

I may remember wrong, but it seemed to me like there were a few LSU players closing in with a shot at keeping that one out of the end zone. The fair catch may have saved us a few yards. Still probably would have been the right thing to do to let it bounce, but I didn't think it was clearly the wrong decision.

Was going to say this too. Who is his competition? Weston Graves? I really can't think of any other true freshmen who have played?

Amen to this. Our punt return game was horrible last year. Jameon averaged something like 2 yards per return and Brandon Holloway can't catch a football. Graham is solid at catching and quickly gets up the field instead of trying to dance around like Jameon was prone to do. The only mistake I've seen him make the whole year was fair catching the punt at the 5 yard line against LSU. But he also had a great 21-yard return to put us at midfield and set up our first touchdown in that game as well, so it evened out. As a whole, our special teams are much improved this year, with the exception of FG kicking. The jury is still out on that.

I'm pretty sure he's the only true freshman to have played so far... That being said, I'm really looking forward to seeing Cory Thomas next season. He was one of the standouts in the MS/AL All Star Game.

Weston Graves. Graves, Graham and Hutcherson are the only 2014 signees that have played as far as I know. I think. Wouldn't be surprised to see Brandon Bryant to make an appearance.
