Florida's captains simply screwed the election up when they won the coin toss. Instead of deferring their choice to the second half, they just said that they "wanted to kick". So State got the ball to open the game, plus the option to kick or receive to start the second.
The story I heard was the referee tried to talk him out of it and asked the player, “Are you sure you want to kick? You sure you aren’t intending to defer?” And the player confirmed that they in fact wanted to kick. The Florida guy definitely screwed up. But the ref tried to give him a chance to correct the mistake.

Single Play - Anthony Johnson pick-six 100 plus return against Bama and John Parker (I mean Sara Jessica Parker) Wilson. I have been attending games since the mid-70's and the noise level has not been close for any other event.

Game - Auburn 2014. The entire 2nd half was a coronation level event.
You are 100% correct on the noise level after Johnson’s pick six. There used to be a picture of him running all alone down the sideline in the Union.

I was in the student section for this…. Hands down the loudest I’ve ever heard a stadium get…anywhere

Rockey not going for two vs. Auburn in 1990. We had them beaten, then miss the XPA to tie it. The air was sucked right out of Scott Field.

2013 Egg Bowl
2014 A&M and Auburn
2016 A&M- they were top 10 and we were terrible but put a whoopin on them that day
2017 LSU I had never seen a MSU team beat LSU in person.
2019 Egg Bowl was a terrible game but one of the craziest endings

Auburn Beatdown in 2006 (I remember their equipment tractor trailer honking when pulling out) this is the game I realized what being a state fan was all about.

2008 Auburn 3-2

2009 Egg Bowl with Mike drop

2009 Florida (upper deck was shaking)

2009 LSU (mud bowl) that we should have won

2010 Arkansas Double Overtime

2014 Auburn

2018 Kansas (shrader helicopter, legit thought he was dead)

For me, it wasn't a football game or play. I can't remember the year and all of you that can spout off what year a specific play was I'm convinced you sold your soul to the devil for that kind of recall.

But the salute to service when the veteran that was being honored has been given a wheel chair on tracks, but when he was supposed to go out on the field he said 17 it and walked. I thought that stadium was going to come apart from the cheering and pure emotion. Like the old Meatloaf song...Not a Dry Eye in the House.
Sergeant Matt Zajac. I'll never forget him. He rolled out on the red carpet and turned around to face the home side stands in a regular wheelchair. He got so pumped up with all the cheering and bell ringing that he put on his "legs" stood up and walked off the field. You could tell he was struggling with all he had to do it. The school attempted to put out a highlight video a few days afterwards. But the evidently not many were filming at the time. (Note: The carpet roll-up guys ticked me off. They needed to chill out.)

FG versus Arkansas to wrap up a share of the SEC West in ‘98. I couldn’t watch it (too nervous), but I heard the crowd roar and my friend started hugging me.
To me this will always be the biggest 'moment'. Biggest game might be 2014 Auburn to go to #1 but that game didn't really come down to the wire. To hit that FG against Ark in 98 with the SEC championship game on the line (yea, I know we still had to beat a bad OM team the next week). That will always be the biggest moment I've ever witnessed in MSU football history.

One that always stood out for me was Norwood coming back out of the locker room in the 2005 egg bowl after cramping up. Seems like it was near the end of the third quarter. Then he put the game away in the fourth quarter. Ended up with over 200 yards and three or four touchdown

Pegues punt return in 2007 was pretty awesome.

Nick Bells mom and multiple moments from the 2014 Auburn game will always stand out. The whole sequence of the piss & miss happened right down in front of us, lol

The Piss and the Miss. I was sitting front row on the right side of the student section right where Elijah Moore peed, then watching the field goal sail wide right. Either that or 2014 Auburn

This is a great list. I would add Florida 92 and Florida 2000. And Alabama and Ole Miss in 2007.
