Dude had 70 offensive rebounds this season. For context here were our top offensive rebounders:
Amari: 74
Carr:49
Garrison: 40
Oweh: 36
I guess this is as good a place as any for me to make my first post in this thread to emphasize that Dioubate only got on the floor for 16 minutes per game at Alabama. He averaged 7.2 ppg and 5.9 rpg. Extrapolate that out to 24 minutes per game and you get 10.8 ppg and 8.85 rpg. Amari played 22.8 minutes per game for the 'Cats and averaged 10.9 ppg and 8.5 rpg. Dioubate gives the 'Cats essentially the same production as this past season's starting Center ! ! ! I say "boom" about that ! ! !
Way to go, Coach Pope !

Exactly what this team needed—a physical and athletic workhorse that at least has to be respected from outside (shoots about one 3 pointer a game).

He had 7 double doubles last year despite only averaging 16 minutes a game. Our rebounding just got a much needed boost.
This right here is an amazing stat. The Dioubate commitment made my day, week, whatever. The guy is a total badass and the commentary I saw all season about our "soft" frontcourt is out the window.

Just like Houston, tallest starter is 6'7" out rebounded a Duke team with 7 footers and such. Charles Barkley dominated Sam Bowie and Mel Turpin on the glass, Barkley 6'5". The fight in the dog matters way more than the dog in the fight.
I don’t disagree I’m just looking at the roster seems we have more role players from other teams to add to role players we already have.

I like the part where there's a realistic chance we return all the following guys for 2026-2027:
Garrison - Senior *the year they would be beginning in '26-27.
Lowe- Senior
Williams - Senior
Dioubate - Senior
Chandler - Junior
Noah - Junior
Perry - Junior
Johnson - Sophomore
Lewis - Sophomore
Moreno - Sophomore

Pope is clearly aiming for continuity, chemistry, and retention.

Absolutely the opposite of Calipari-themed Kentucky.
That would be great. Love to see it.

That is where rolling the dice on guys stats and what that means with more minutes. So if he plays 22 or so minutes, what does that look like, 10pts, 7 rebounds, 1.5 steals. If so that is solid numbers. If we get the other PF, Alvaro (SP) and 1 more pure scorer like Yates or Pierre we should be a top 10 team next year. A team with a shot to make the run. We just need someone in the locker room, on the sidelines with the right JuJu to keep the injuries away. I swear there is a UofL fan out there doing some voodoo witch doctor crap trying to cause our injury issues.

Folgueiras and Yates might be as well. I'd be really happy with either scenario.
Yates sure has a lot of upside. Actually would love to get those three. I mean we have four more spots to fill and by the end of the year last year we barely had enough players to practice. In my opinion, I say fill it up with the very best you can get and compete for time. I love looking like a dang football team coming off that bus. Ha. Go Cats.

I don’t know about Yates his cousin just left the USC program I could see both going back to Washington. It’s pretty hard to pull kids from West cost. I would love to have Yates just a Freshman shot the ball FANTASTIC. pretty much close to same height 6’4 212 to Pierre 6’5 188

I’m willing to bet this Kentucky fan has seen Mo and the rest of Bama play live in person more than you, Alabama fan.

Without that though, Effective shooting percentage of 65% last year says otherwise.
You’d be wrong. He shot only 54% on layups last season.

I was hoping to see Pope get involved with Dioubate!! Great to pick up an SEC transfer. Idk if it’s been posted but his per 30 stats are 13.5ppg/11rpg/1.7stls/1.3blks. He was one of those dudes on Alabama they’d extend a lead and sub in Dioubate and you’re just like **** these guys never let up!! He busted his *** for Alabama and really was one of the most efficient players in the country. He’s absolutely poised to breakout as a starter playing 25+ minutes.

This is a huge addition!!
