lack of D. The rest as well. If you want to see the difference between Stans' good teams and this one look no further.

there may have been 2 or 3 possessions for UMass in the 2 OTs combined that they didn't score.

and he really had us ready to play....NOT!!!!

Also, I would like to add that I think once we hit OT that switching to our weak 2-3 zone after we got a little lead in the first OT was a critical error against a team that shoots the 3 really well. Awful coaching decision...not that I'm surprised...

I was there and the zone was the only way we had a freaking chance. Then we couldn't get a rebound. I think UMass scored either a basket, an offensive rebound putback, or made a free throw or two on every possession in both overtimes. I literally don't remember getting a single stop in either. We didn't play defense worth a damn all season and throw in that the same 5 played both overtimes and most of the 40 minutes of the game, I'm sure tired legs had some to do with it as well. The 5 that were out there in the end played as hard as they could. We just suck on D, period.

he just needs aggression and a fire. Responsbility of coaching staff to light it. I was watching our defensive rebounding last night and when a shot went up, our players never blocked out.

The commentators were even saying how much of a mistake that was. Sure enough, as soon as we switched to the zone they started bombing 3s.

saying it since SEC play started; This teams problems was defense. All of the basketball gurus on here point to Stan's complete lack of knowledge on the offensive end. However, it was our defense that lost many of the games during the skid. Playing hard, tough defense is all about effort. We had no effort. Stansbury couldn't motivated these guys, and they made no idividualeffort whatsoever. This was one of the most physically gifted teams we have ever had. Unfortunately it was also one of the most undisciplined, unmotivated, and mentally retarded teams we've ever had.
