After seeing NS I feel its a 50 /50 game. NS scrimmage they didn't show a whole lot. Looked like they played a lot of JV. Their "D" looked pretty good and the "O" did some solid stuff.
The cubs are still young and could cause some problems late in the year come playoffs. After seeing both I'm leaning toward NS.

I am pretty sure everyone knows MaxPreps rosters are totally entered by school officials.
Coach Taylor at NS is is one of the best but must under appreciated coaches in NC. He is implementing his program and has them headed in the right direction. I hope to see the Hounds end the streak on Friday.
I am pretty sure if I remember correctly Mount Airy is always late getting their full roster entered. Probably see them by Friday.
They looked pretty good. Very young, but talented. Against George Wythe, they scored 6 times and held GW to just one score. Against Grayson, the Bears scored 5 times and Grayson Co scored once. The Bears D is very good. On O they have a very deep rushing attack.
Don't understand why they so young. Two years ago they had like 25 sophomore. Last spring around 20 juniors. Should be loaded with seniors along with some very talented younger players. Jvs have been loaded for a couple years
Stroupe for MA Qb Db should be POY in the conference. runs like a deer and throws good ball. Rb should be 3 deep with few good young receivers and Sr Penn is his year TO SHINE. Coaching will tel the tell of 2021 Bears can they finaly win the big game under Adkins. Havent in 3 seasons. My opinion Hounds will have a hard night.
Will Stroup be the QB1? I figured Gallimore might get the nod at QB, allowing Stroup to use his athleticism as a playmaking WR. MA has 2 good options there and a bright future over the next 3 years for sure!
We will see Friday night the offense Adkins has wanted to implement since he's been here- the Triple O. He now has the players to do it. Stroup will sling it every so often to keep every one honest, probably deep balls. Bears are looking good running it and playing well on D. Hounds only threat is Lynch. He will get his but MA wins big.
MA is loaded with speed and strength. And they still young wow. #1 Stroupe hasn't even touched ball on offense.
Hounds had nothing but one player. Bears kept him in check all night. Penn for MA a stud
Congrats to the Bears! Coach Taylor was right, this definitely is NOT your daddy's Greyhounds.
Good to see the Bear Faithful lighten up on the coach for a game or so. Bears will be hard to beat.
Will know more about the Bears next week. Enjoyed watching the new offense, Gallimore brought back memories of the Aaron Wheeler days. Penn looked good , Impressed by 5 running the ball as well. But to me 32 on defense stole the show . He made Norths qb miserable all night long. Was surprised to hear his age. Got some big moves to say the least, He's already a beast out there, but that Kids gonna be a big problem for the next couple years. Print hearing good things out of Rhonda , looking forward to finally getting the match up you and i talk S**T about every year. Should be a fun one. good luck to the redbirds and hope both teams stay healthy. Gonna be a hard row to hoe in the west after seeing some of last nights scores. Defiantly gonna be a fun year
Adkins still had to call 2 time outs in 1 qrt and had several delay of game penaltys bc didn't getting play in in time. This is his offense should know what to call.
Buzz is always going to find something to be critical of, and as if a new offense isn't going to have a few hiccups with players that are still learning it.
It's not the players that can't get the play called. Good win for the Bears. North just had one legitimate threat and he was kept in check all night.
I think it's going to be a Long! Long! time before North Surry will have shot at beating MA.

This Rivalry between Mount Airy and North Surry would be fun to watch. If both teams were competitive instead one team showing up.
The talented kids at North Surry should head towards MA or ES. They will never reach max potential at NSHS.
This isn't free agency..not sure why fans treat it as such. You live in a town..you play for that team.
It's happen all the time Charlotte for example. Kids from underachieving program will transfer to the winning program. Vance High School now Julius Chambers High School 2 time defending 4A State Champions had at least 6 transfer this year. Four players from Mallard Creek, 1 player from Olympic, and 1 from Richmond County.
I was thinking the same thing. The best athlete on North Surry team. I can't remember his name. If North Surry don't step it up I wouldn't be surprised if that kid transfer to Mount Airy or East Surry.
I guess im old school...in the 80's hardly anyone did that...Championships speak loudly though..so i guess i get it..Look at all the All Star teams combined it took for Elkin to get theirs...LoL everyone talked junk about them then...I guess it's Kosher now...
MA/NS is no longer a rivalry. NS would need to win a game sometime for it to be. ES is our rival now!
