Thats what all of them are.
Pisgah should be pretty good, QB second year, two or three running backs moving up from JV's along with several played last year.
West lost their QB and a big lineman went to Christ School
If Smoky get their running back back this year they should be O.K
Tuscola requited a QB and still have that big line but lost a lot of seniors.
Franklin could upset some teams.
North and East will battle for the bottom.

That is what it seems. Them and Smoky have the best two players in the conference I gave the slight edge to West.
Would Be Nice, but I doubt it, We got no where to go but up. I could see only having a JV team this year.

I don't think Sosbe ever leaves crest. Best football county in the state and more support and money for the program.
They probably don't mind him changing grades like he did in SC either.
I could be wrong but I think Tuscola is going to struggle the most. New coach, new system, lose Jett Benson, lose your top 5 rushers, lose 4 of your top 5 receivers and 6 of their top 10 in tackles. They had 8 kids with over 100 all purpose yards on the season and they lose 7 of them. JVs struggled too.
Out of that group, Smoky returns the most, Pisgah is a toss up but had an excellent JV squad, Franklin had a good JV group but loses a lot.

No doubt our jv’s struggled. We have some good players left off of last years squad. Time will tell. Best of luck to our new coach. Go Tuscola!!

Smoky MTN will be the top dogs next year. They have #5 Da’Mare Williams who has 2 Power 5 offers and multiple D1 offers. Watched him play at the shrine bowl combine and he is smooth. Also Jed West who has an D1 offer to Gardner and he can sling it. They return the most kids all around they will be tough to beat.

I like your confidence but Truitt Manuel is the best athlete in WNC and West returns a lot. The title still runs through Mills River IMO.
Read my previous reply also Truitt can’t throw to himself. Smoky held him to 1 reception last year. They will definitely be tough but smoky has the better all around athletes.
East Henderson Job is posted on county Website, All applicants so far are not what is Needed.

I think it will be hard to find a quality ex-head coach for this job. I would try to find a top assistant on a staff somewhere.
There is some truth in that, But in the past we have had some good teams, With talent . It is hard to make as many Bad Hires as we have. I would rather Just not have a team next year and just start fresh at the end of the season. Not just settle we have not had a really good coach in 10 years. Good school, Good Fans nice facilities no reason we cant get somebody that is at least Good. There are worse Places with Good coaches this could be an upgrade for somebody.
Not a bad job, has decent history but it's an extremely tough uphill battle with questionable athletic leadership from what I have been told.

Agreed But when you settle for a warm Body , You have them for 3 years . They want to give them a Fair chance
and you get a cycle of bad play gets more bad play. So far we have had a 1st time head coach off a state Champ team= 0wins. Ex college guy, best season 3 wins. Middle school Coach and staff on 4win season the rest 2 win.

Come on Duck, you're shorting the middle school guy a win. He had that 5-7 team in 2018. That's yalls best season in a decade! I'm sure some of the hires you've made weren't the best but it seams yall have a talent issue rather than a coaching issue.
That "middle school guy" has been West Henderson's athletic director for the last 2 years and has helped lead West to probably it's best overall athletics season in both men's and women's sports, probably ever.
The issues at East are far bigger than the football coach. Good leadership matters.
The middle school Guy is a Fine person Super Guy , Just not ready to be a High School coach. He had some good Talent also. News from the central office Moving from school is stopping, That will help East lost 15 players 2 years ago to other county high schools and Polk.
