You do know that Moultrie's makeup probably translates more to the NBA than Jarvis, right? So there's a much better chance he'll stick in the league. <div>Ol Blue said:the D league.<div>

I know allot about Moultrie and where he projects. I also happen to know the guy who scouted him the most for the Heat.<div>EEMan said:You do know that Moultrie's makeup probably translates more to the NBA than Jarvis, right? I'm pretty sure I know a lot more about it than you. <div>studentdawg87 said:But hey, you are a Kentucky fan and know far more about basketball than us Mississippi State fans.
Moultrie is athletic and loves to rebound. He will have a decent career.
And for the record, Jones does have a better skill set. However, that doesn't mean ****. He is a headcase. And he disappears from games on a consistent basis.
Teague won't be a good pro, either.
I'll file this one away.NewTweederEndzoneDance said:rebounds just as well, runs the court just as well, but perhaps doesn't quite shoot the 3 ball quite as well?
Good thing being 6'11" in the NBA doesn't mean you really have to shoot the 3 ball as well as being 6'8" in the NBA. But wait, you know NBA scouts, what am I doing questioning your basketball IQ?!!?
Psst. It also means there is a good chance the 2 guys don't even play the same position. You can have that one for free
Smelling smack and name calling just another way of saying "I don't know enough about the topic to debate you on this blue, so buy a Thesaurus"<div>studentdawg87 said:Based on what? Supposedly knowing a NBA scout and cheering for Kentucky?
Yes, Jones consistently found his *** moping on the bench after Cal pulled him out of the game. Don't be an idiot. Everyone in America who kept up with college basketball knows this happened. He did have a decent year on a great team, though.
Your numbers argument is 17ing stupid. I defended Davis in the thread on him yesterday. He was hands down the best prospect in the draft. Numbers don't tell the whole story, and I never said they did.
Moultrie's numbers wouldn't have been nearly as good if he had played at Kentucky. Once again, this is feeble **** you're throwing out there. If Jones had played at MSU, his numbers would not have been as good as Moultrie's.
I'm not a homer. MGK and Davis are awesome. I love watching them play. Jones? Not so much. I wouldn't have touched him in the first round, even though he certainly has the talent to be a productive player in the NBA.
Heaven forbid someone point out a flaw of a Kentucky basketball player. After all, Kentucky IS basketball, and us stupid fans simply don't understand the finer points of the game.
Oh, and "allot" is actually A LOT you stupid 17.
You don't really have allot to go on from a basketball perspective, so you resort to have to resort to spelling smack. I get that. Most people choose to sit out a debate in which they have no knowledge, but who am I to question you on how you use your free time. <div>saltslugs said:But I will not let your ridiculous concepts slide. The first round included draft picks from only 18 college teams. From that alone, you would expect that we would at least be a tournament team. You are absurd. I seriously doubt "allot" of these first rounders will be in the D-League and I would be willing to bet that Moultrie starts the season on the 76ers roster.
Beardo said:Exactly: why is such a travesty to talk about the shortcomings of KY players? M. Teague is gonna be mediocre PG just like his brother. What really bothers me, is what do these so called "experts" go off of? I mean for example, Teague was taken in the first round, despite being a turnover machine, lacking a reliable jump shot, lacking leadership, etc., etc.; yet, Dee Bost, who has shown he can be a great passer, a good leader, a good shooter (with diversity) and a good defender, doesn't even get drafted? Not to mention the heads up match-up between these two...Dee dominated, so much so, where Cal pulled Teague midway through the second half, sitting on the bench, putting MKG on Dee, and having their 2 run the point.
Just like Jarvis; if he'd had been drafted by any other team, he'd been in the NBA today. He was drafted by the worst possible team, at the worst possible time. I'm surprised they don't want him now. With guys like Joel Anthony playing the 5, you'd think Jarvis would be able to produce comparable numbers, at least on the defensive end.
