North Davidson at Central Davidson
Asheboro at Ledford
Oak Grove at Montgomery Central

Oak Grove has separated themselves from the pack and control their own destiny.

North, Central and Ledford tied for second. North and Central will decide who stays tied this week and then the annual rivalry to finish the season between ND and Ledford will determine the final placement.

Aboro and MC continue to flounder. MC JV has been having a good season though.

#1 best game in the MPC this week is obviously NDHS vs CDHS.
#2 best game in the MPC this week is the OGHS vs MCHS JV football game on Thursday.

I think ND has the advantage over Central on Friday Night. If Central can pressure the QB, it will essentially put in all in the hands of ND’s very capable running back. I have no prediction though. It could go either way.

Ledford and Oak Grove need a nice break like this going into the final week. It will be good for them to rest some of their banged up players.

Surely Montgomery Central is going to begin to make a little noise next year. I applaud their coach for building slowly (if that is indeed what is going on). I’d have to assume that is the case.

Central looking to beat North for the first time since 2005. Last year they got yards but fumbles and fourth down stops turned it into a blowout. The key will be winning the line of scrimmage because North will dominate the perimeter and vertical game.

Could be a high scoring game.

I think North will only need a stop or two to win. Ledford forced Central to punt one time, and that was all they needed. I don't see Central's defense stopping ND much.

OG with the JV win over MC. They look good for the future as they dominated everyone this year.

14-0 Spartans at the half. Central has executed their game perfectly except for a few penalties. North O has run maybe 14 plays while Central has had the ball for over 20 mins

Central drives down to the 8 but is stopped and field goal is blocked. ND starts at their own 20 with 5:57 in the 3rd

Looking at the RPI, ND could get the upset this week and slide into the playoffs for a road trip to a 10-0 #1 seed. Big rival game I will take Ledford by 10 if the Panthers do not have 15 penalties like they did against OG.
