Guys it could have been 70 to zero, it was that big of a mismatch. Observations:

1) Physical conditioning was far superiour for MRA, Yazoo was a bunch of lard butts that gave us after the second series.
2) Knowledge of the game and coaching, no comparison, these private school kids start playing competitive sports in the third grade, they know the game. The difference was amazing.
3) Coaching and game plan/scheme, no contest
4) Fan support and parental involvement, no contest

The biggest dissapointment for me was Eulls, he went backwards all night long and never showed any gizzard at all. He is absoulutely impressive looking until he trys to play, nobody will ever look better than him getting off the bus. Honestly, if he can grow a set he will be a fine defensive tackle, that is his future. He is soft and that was very disapointing.

fire away!

and fundamentally sound will do for you.

Thats also why I say we will possibly end up with 6 wins this season at State. Coaching is going to make a tremendous difference this Fall.

I wasn't at the game but did see highlights. From the clips I saw, Eulls didn't even look good "getting off the bus." I would group him with the rest of Yazoo's lard asses, albeit a much bigger one.

and I said about Taylorsville, coaching makes a difference. You get 11 extremely talented players with no coaching or direction they can not beat 11 almost as talented players with superior coaching.

Starkville is sometimes good most of the time bad, good for Ackerman they are a better team.

it would appear that the good teams beat the bad teams, doesn't matter whether they are public or private, all black or all white. The teams that are well coached, well conditioned, and more talented win. It appears the big private schools can more than hold their own while the smaller private schools will struggle. Public school 6A is a whole different story.
