Steve'sis OK-not recommended.Lookout 49 was pretty good but closed a month or so ago.Might want to try the Chimney's on the Beach in Gulfport. Was good before K but haven't been since it re-opened but plan to.
is pretty cool for brick oven pizza, pasta, and such......they also have a cooloutside bar if you don't mind sweating your balls off. Was cool watching world cup there. This place works for all crowds.
It's also 'inland' now on Hwy 90. West End (on 90) in Waveland is also quite good. If you're interested in sushi, Chef Scott's in Ocean Springs (BYOB), Samurai on 49 and Pass in Gulfport, and I think it's Koi on 49 nearer the interstate are all pretty tasty.
BBs in Ocean Springs (lunch - get the seafood combo); Mary Mahoney's (dinner - get the Presidential Platter and gumbo); Biloxi Schooner (pressed poboys). I also second McElroy's.
Those are our "must eat at" places when we return to the coast. If you really want to spend some $$$$ go to 32 at the Imperial Palace. Very good, quite upscale, fantastic views. Another casino restaurant that is good is Farraday's in the Isle.
Breakfast - Tatonut on Govt. in Ocean Springs - You shouldn't even consider anywhere else
Lunch - BB's on Hwy 90 Ocean Springs - I think someone recommended the seafood combo - They are right
Schooner restaurant on Howard Ave Biloxi- Get the Schooner fries with your po-boy
Burger Burger on Howard ave Biloxi
Govt.Street Grocery on Govt. in Ocean Springs - Great burger
The Shed - Hwy 57 Ocean Springs - everything is great there
Dinner - Manhattan Grill on Washington Ave in Ocean Springs - Expensive but never had a bad meal there - Steak or Seafood
Phonecia Gourmet on Govt. in Ocean Springs - Don't order off the menu, the specials are where its at
Mary Mahoneys on 90 in Biloxi
Does any coast restaurant serve grilled oyster anywhere comparable to Dragos in 'nawlins? I will be on the coast in a few weeks and won't be able to get to 'nawlins. Thanks.
