Alumni and friends are invited to celebrate the opening of the 2011
football season at a tailgate prior to the University of Memphis game on
Thursday, Sept. 1.
Sponsored by the MSU Office of the President, Bulldog Club, Foundation,
Student Association, Alumni Association and the Memphis, Tenn., Alumni
Chapter, the event will begin at 4 p.m. and conclude at 6 p.m. at the
Mid-South Coliseum Fairgrounds.
The tailgate tent will be located at 940 Early Maxwell Blvd., in the
northeast corner of lot 16 between Mid-South Coliseum and the Pipkin
Building.

Barbecue plates will be available for purchase for $5, while supplies
last. There will also be music, door prizes, pom-poms and stickers given
away.
A pre-game pep rally featuring the Famous Maroon band and cheerleaders will begin at 5:15 p.m. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
