I did like Ray's comment after the game.
He basically said we needed this to try and get the loss to Alabama A&M off our mind.
While the loss isn't easy to forget, at least he owns and and doesn't pretend like it didn't happen.

I was at a bar and I looked up and State was playing Loyola
I watched for 5 minutes and saw nothing but sloppy play, turnovers, and ugly shot attempts. I then changed seats so I couldn't see that TV.

Well, it matters because all these freshman playing now are the foundation
for our future. So its nice to see them play well, even if it's against a ****** team.

Well, i watched that game too, mostly to explain why it was important to my kids
And realistically, it was worth the sloppy play just to watch the halftime presentation.

First, we are not very good. We have been chewed up and spit out this year by most "decent" teams we have played. We have also been terribly effected my injuries, transfers and suspensions. Etc etc etc etc
This team plays with more effort than Stansbury's teams every played. The football team should take note of the effort that they give on the court and transfer it to the football field. Ray's guys have out hustled our football team this year. They actually look like they are proud to have on the uniform and play with an attitude every single game.
Like I said, we won't win many games but I like what will come in year 3-4 with these guys. I think some of the young talent will be big time players when they become SEC veterans. Don't give up on these guys, their will to win speaks volumes of the attidude Ray's teams will play with in the future. The upcoming Senior leaders on our football team need to have a 17ing come to Jesus meeting this summer and Rick Ray might need to be the keynote speaker. Now back to Genespage for me.

Get our three percentage up and we may actually compete in a few games. We went practically 0for in some of the games we were blown out in. We're headed up regardless, since we're coming off of rock bottom.
