Football/Baseball/Men's Tennis/Women's Basketball/Softball. Only the 1-1 split in Men's basketball this year kept it from being a Big3+ sweep (and we had beaten 5 in a row in Men's Basketball before this year's split).

Again, I'm gladanytime outsoftball, girls hoops, tennis, ultimate frisbee, hockey, bowling, golf, and soccer teams beat the Bears.

I'm not so sure the Gov. baseball game should count since non-SEC, but granting that loss we go in the Big Three:
Football 1-0
Hoops 1-1
Baseball 2-2
So I'll take the 4-3 win.

But it counts in your rpi, so it definitely counts... It's dumb to only act like it counts when you win, for either fan base. It's not an exhibition game.

Arguing the Governor's Cup? Man, you guys really are getting tired of getting your asses spanked in every sport. By the way, mr records, what is your record vs USM in all sports this year? Isn't it 0-2?

so need to apply some kind of weighting factor. I think a basketball sweep or a baseball series win vs Ole Miss are at least somewhat closer to an Egg Bowl victory. Maybe a scoring system where Football win = x 4pts, Basketball win = x 2pts, and a Baseball win = x 1pt, this way each sport is on equal footing weighting wise (which is a big assumption since football is still king).

Thus, this year's point system for the big 3 sports would be 8pts to 4pts, which I think more closely resembles the current attitudes toward the direction of sports at MSU vs Ole Miss.

You could argue they had a better year than State too with an arguably better season in football and a tourney appearance

Or in your case, a douche a douche. Answer Rutherford's question though. And even with you counting the govs cup, we still have a winning record against you on the year.....especially in the big games.

Counting all of the head-to-head games in those sports, it is MSU 12, OM 6 this year (2011-12). And 12-6 last year, too (2010-11).

I believe it is MSU 12, OM 6 this year. And last year.
We had this thread up on another site, but the person updating it hasn't done it in a while. Sorry if I'm wrong, trying to do too much at once.

The most current Ole Miss relevance will only be found in the Miss Sports Hall of fame.</p>
