For those that live in Alabama and want to show some school pride, here is the opportunity. We need 1,000 commitments in order for it to be put into production.
Right now there is 542. This must be done before 4-30-15. I believe this would be the first non Alabama school to have a plate in the state. Please consider committing.

Pass the word to anyone that you may know that lives in Alabama.

I think they're planning on having a booth set up at the South Alabama game for this. We should have one at every home game as well, because it is important.

I'm hoping to move to the Birmingham area in the next 2 months. When I do, I'll pre-order 2. One for me and one for the better half.

Another bump from me. This is a big step in the promotion of MSU in Alabama. Plenty of good students and athletes in this state, even if Alabama/Auburn take all the Mountain Brook kids. We want the hungry ones anyway. To do this, MSU needs to be seen as a home school. The goal should be to make MSU to Alabama, what Auburn/Clemson is to Georgia.

I agree, but the school needs to do a better job promoting this. I hope we'll see in game adds and stuff during football games about it. If we don't have 1,000 after football season - I doubt it happens.

Is the Alumni Association in Huntsville/Birmingham/Mobile marketing this heavily? If not, shame on them.

As a native of Alabama -- would love to see this happen. Of course I live in Tennessee now. If Tennessee can have an MSU tag, Alabama should too. Good luck.

If by heavily you mean multiple e-mails, multiple Facebook posts, on-hand guides (both paper and person) at every event we've held or attended since April, and snail mail, then yes, Birmingham is meeting that standard.
At this point the only thing we haven't done is a call-a-thon. That's on the road map if numbers don't pick up soon.

Some of the hold up appears to be ignorance; we keep meeting folks who either don't know about it or think that they shouldn't do it until they renew their tag. Unfortunately, the progress in finding members of that crowd who are willing to pay the $50 has slowed to a trickle.

I'm planning on discussing how we can do this better with Jeff Davis soon. If you haven't gotten to know him yet, please do it. Very nice guy.

Keep it up, and good work (being in TX, I see none of that). I've seen a few MSU tags out here in Texas--I own one--but I would think 1,000 would be easy in 'bama. Apparently, apathy/ignorance is there with the alumni. $50 is not much to pay for that.

Yes they have. They "sold" (I think) 13 of them during the sendoff party for the incoming freshmen from the Huntsville area.

We ordered ours several months ago.

For what it's worth, Ole Miss is well behind, but it won't matter if we don't make the 1000 cutoff.
