MSU on MLB spring rosters

I took great liberties with some of these. I included people if they have even visited campus.

But here are the guys on MLB spring training rosters that have a connection to MSU, with explanation as necessary.

Adron Chambers- St. Louis Cardinals. Played football at MSU, and was on the baseball roster one spring under Polk. And yes, he is black.

Roy Oswalt- Philadelphia Phillies. MSU commit, seen in sky box during 2009 Egg Bowl. State fan.

Paul Maholm- Pittsburgh Pirates.

Tim Dilliard- Milwaukee Brewers. His brother, Jeff, was an infielder under Pat McMahon in 1998.

Marcus Thames- Los Angeles Dodgers. Is a Bulldog Club member and is related to Marcus Thames, MSU football player.

Conor Gillaspie- San Francisco Giants- Son of former MSU Bulldog Mike Gillaspie.

Brian McCann- Atlanta Braves- Son of former MSU Bulldog Howie McCann.

Craig Tatum- Baltimore Orioles.

Buck Showalter- Baltimore Orioles manager.

Jonathan Papelbon- Boston Red Sox, bad mother-17er.

Mitch Moreland- Texas Rangers.

Julio Borbon- Texas Rangers. Born in Starkville, and his parents taught at MSU briefly.

</div><div>I played high school ball with Tim Dillard, and after ICC, he was going to Ole Miss. So, I don't really know if he qualifies for this list. I will give him that it seemed like Ole Miss was always a back up plan. But yes, his brother Jeff played under Polk.</div>
