6 Walks. If we keep anything like that up, the season is going to be enjoyable.

We will definately win our share of games.

When we are able to hit a little bit better and hit with some power to go along with the pitching and defense- then we are going to have some real fun then.

he already now has 2 home runs in the first 3 games of the season. I don't think last year we had ANYBODY with double digit home runs for the season.

but this board needs to be ready to show some patience this year. I'm afraid that we are going to have to really scuffle to score runs this year, especially in SEC play. But, the hitting should improve as the season progresses. We have a lot of pitching, but the upper half of the SEC will be able to hit our pitching as a whole. At least better than we will be able to hit theirs. We are young young young in the field and are still a ways behind in the talent department, so lets hold off on thinking Omaha and that type stuff. I know Cohen has been here awhile now and many of you 17ers think he should have won it all last year, but Polk created a perfect storm of a mess during his scorched earth of MSU baseball campaign. And Todd, what is up with D. Henderson?

I have faith in our bullpen and believe it will be quite impressive by the post season. Short stop is my biggest concern. We had some amazing fielding last year. If we can improve to that level of fielding by post season expect a nice run to happen.

We had quite a few innings with three on base and less than two outs and got absolutely nothing. Just a few holes in our batting lineup. Cohen will get it squared away.

Britton just hangs onto the ball just a little too long and really making things a little too close for comfort. He has the arm to make up for it but just one less shuffle when setting his feet and he'd be okay.

ogden was damn near horrible defensively we just didn't have anyone else to play there. vick sheppard and parks are really the only ones that will be missed.

He also had some amazing highlights. I remember one game he had two amazing diving grabs. On the other hand I remember one game where he himself had three errors if my memory serves me right.

I don't know how much that affected his defense, but it probably didn't help too much.

As far as Britton- he seemed to play better in the second and third game. That's encouraging.
