Game Photos

Ok, here's the deal.....I'm going to start putting photos from all home games online for whoever wants to see them. Some games, it will be reasonably quick after the game, and sometimes I may be shooting the game for the Clarion Ledger or something like that and it may be a while before I can post some photos...but in those cases, the photos should be on their website.

I'll already be shooting basketball and baseball photos as well, and I'm planning on adding in some women's sports when I have time....volleyball, soccer, softball....I may even get crazy and go shoot a tennis match. I'll go to that stuff when I have the time.

You can view pictures in two ways.....1) a flash photo gallery complete with whatever information I can provide about the picture in a caption or 2) By searching for keywords. Each photo has keywords attached....player names and numbers for those in the photo, opponent, year, and sport. So, type in a players name and get only photos showing that player. Type in an opponent (ex. JSU) and get all the photos from the game. Type in 2 player names and select that you want to match "any keywords" and you get every photo of each player.....select to match "all keywords" and you'd get only photos that included both players assuming that the photo existed. Theoretically, you should be able to search and return photos by specific year, opponent, sport, and player or group of players....when there are enough photos for that. Once your search results come back, the photos open in a lightbox to view and you can scroll through them just like a photo gallery by clicking on the left or right of the photo (note: if your search returns a lot of images, you will have to let all the thumbnail images load before the lightbox will work properly - not sure if I can fix that or not).

I also need help with a name for the site.....has to be a URL that is available for purchase.

If you have any problems with the site at all, I'd like to know about it - and let me know what browser(version included) that you are using. I've tested it in IE7 and Firefox 3.5.2 and it works ok there.

Apologies for the quality of some photos....it's time for a new camera.

enjoy...

Getting one of their guys (or both) to wear the 1941 National Champions shirt on ESPNU and in front of a crowd that large would have definitely generated some noise.

DAMN IT.

Neither band was on TV at halftime. On a side note, they barely EVER showed them during the game either. Whoever the producer in the truck is blows yak balls.

Glad they didn't show JSU but would have been happy to see them if Nash Street been wearing our shirts and gotten pt too

One thing.... We need more pom squad and cheerleader pictures. I need a good back view of the pom squad and some pictures of the cheerleaders in the air holding one leg up. True dawg fans (especially you old $#$%#) would really appreciate that.

Would anybody use a mobile version that was setup to be easy to use and load faster with smaller image files? The search on the site works fine now from my blackberry but just loads a little slow and I've never found a decent mobile flash player (anybody?) so it would be a page that contained text links to recent galleries that would display like search results on the main site now...and the search option would still be available from mobile site. Would enough people use it to make it worth the trouble?

not some damn band. I would have liked to have seen Nash Street too, but that's just because I've never seen them before and from what little I've found of them on the Internet, they sound pretty good.
